This morning, вιg нιт Music made an official announcement about j-hope's enlistment. According to the announcement, j-hope is the next member of BTS to enlist after Jin to complete the group's enlistment plan.
Although this is not the first time ARMYs have faced this news, of course, they are still a bit sad and confused at the sudden news. Therefore, out of concern for ARMYs, j-hope did a short livestream afterwards to explain some things and comfort ARMYs.
In it, j-hope shared that he intends to do this before enlisting but he is considering more about the intention as it will probably be a sad thing for him. That made ARMYs even more emotional:
On the 26th, the management company вιg нιт Music posted a notice about the fact that j-hope has completed the application to cancel the postponement of m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ service. This also means that in the near future, he will be the next BTS member to enlist.
BTS previously announced that they would be enlisting sequentially according to each member's schedule since October last year, and Jin enlisted as the first in December of the same year. Therefore, this decision of j-hope seems to be aimed at resuming group activities from 2025 after BTS members complete their m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ service.
However, there is still 1 year left until the ďệäďline for j-hope to enlist, so ARMYs seem to be surprised by this news. Realizing the confusion and sadness of ARMYs, j-hope decided to do a livestream to explain to his fans some of the things related to this announcement.
First of all, j-hope said that he just wanted to let you know that he finished his formalities today, not that he will be enlisting immediately so ARMYs don't need to worry. Meanwhile, j-hope hopes that ARMYs will put their trust and wait on the last gift before enlistment that he wants to give them.
With that, j-hope comforted ARMYs by saying that he will be back with other livestreams until his enlistment so he doesn't expect ARMYs to think this is the last talk and farewell. In particular, j-hope came up with an idea that he initially thought would be cool before he enlisted.
It's about appearing in front of ARMYs with his head shaved like when Jin enlisted in the army. j-hope said that while answering a question from ARMYs about returning before enlisting: "Yes, of course! I'll come back before I enlist. Things like that aren't work. Shall I come back after I shave my head?"
But then, immediately, he reconsidered and thought that if he met ARMYs in that way before enlisting, he would probably be very sad. So j-hope added again: "That's a bit sad though, isn't it?"
It seems, j-hope is like ARMYs when it comes to thinking about how in the future they will be separated for a while. Although he has a lot to say and want to do before enlisting, it will deepen his nostalgia for ARMYs, family, and BTS members.
