BTS Island: In The SEOM has recently become the subject of controversy after a conversation between the game's characters was misleading. Immediately after receiving criticism from fans, the game operation team as well as HYBE had an apology and a solution immediately.
In the latest update of the game, fans discovered that the dialogue between Jimin's character and SUGA has changed. With new, more active content, fans share forgiveness and satisfaction with the way HYBE works.
Here's an overview of what happened in the past few days:
One of the things that has become the focus of ARMYs' attention recently is BTS Island: In the SEOM, which contains a dialogue that allegedly distorts the real-life move between Jimin and SUGA. Not only that, the words of Jimin's character in the game also cause anger when containing negative thoughts, disrespecting him.
Specifically, in that scene, the character of Jimin agonizes over the fact that he is not as good as the other members in terms of performance and wonders if he should leave the group instead of becoming a “nuisance” to them. SUGA's character then walks into the scene, telling Jimin, “Maybe you can practice more, if you have time to feel ŀöṩẗ.” In response when Jimin agrees and asks him to watch him practicing, SUGA denies and tells him that if he fails to get better, the group will leave the island without him.
Immediately after discovering this content on the game, fans created a strong wave of criticism, demanding that HYBE give feedback and correct what they misrepresented the relationship between SUGA and Jimin. With the fan anger at its peak, HYBE was quick to respond via official email to each fan who reported it with an apology for the player's bad experience. Besides, they also offer solutions related to this problem in the game.
HYBE in response to the incident: "First of all, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by some lines in the game story. We are checking the contents and will do our best to fix it quickly. We will notify you through a notice when the revision is complete."
Not only that, after a few hours of issuing an apology, the game operation team of HYBE also made adjustments and changes to the content of the dialogue. Instead of the old dialogue, the new dialogue accurately depicts SUGA and Jimin's sweet relationship as the two have shared before. SUGA has always been a cheerleader and spiritual support for Jimin before BTS debuted.
This makes the fans feel satisfied and even enjoy the moments in the game as it reminds the great memories of the two cousins. HYBE also received the forgiveness of ARMYs after the above incident:
