BTS topped the list of most anticipated artists of 2025 in a recent News1 survey of 34 experts from top music companies, demonstrating their undeniable influence in the industry.
BTS' temporary hiatus due to military service has not diminished the popularity of the K-pop superstars. The members have enlisted in the military one by one, starting with Jin in December 2022, j-hope in April 2023, SUGA in September 2023, and RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook in December 2023.
Jin had been discharged in June 2024, and j-hope was the next to complete his military service in November. In June this year, all five remaining members of BTS will be discharged and BTS will return as a complete group.
The anticipation is high in the K-pop industry as the members' military discharge date is coming soon. The group's comeback in June is creating a strong impact on the stock market, as a series of investment firms raise their price targets on HYBE shares.
Samsung Securities recently raised its price target on HYBE shares from KRW 255,000 to KRW 300,000. The reasons given are BTS's comeback, the expansion of HYBE artists' global tours, and the strong growth of Weverse.
Samsung Securities maintains its "Buy" recommendation, predicting that the company's profits will grow again.
Hana Securities made a similar move by adjusting its price target on HYBE shares from KRW 280,000 to KRW 310,000. The company believes that BTS's comeback is the most important driving force for HYBE's stock price to continue to grow.
Not only Samsung and Hana Securities, many other securities companies have also adjusted their HYBE stock price targets to higher levels. Specifically:
кσяєα Investment & Securities: 290,000 → 310,000 KRW.
Daishin Securities: 270,000 → 310,000 KRW.
KB Securities: 270,000 → 300,000 KRW.
In this context, Hana Securities predicts that this year will be a breakthrough year for HYBE when BTS returns and the company's new business areas gradually bring in stable revenue. This will significantly improve HYBE's profit margin, making the company one of the most influential entertainment companies in the кσяєαn stock market.
In a report on the 26th, Hana Securities analyzed that if HYBE announces BTS's world tour with an au∂ιєnce of about 3 million, along with the stability of the KRW/USD exchange rate, HYBE's annual operating profit could reach nearly 500 billion KRW. At the same time, HYBE's market capitalization could reach 15,000 billion KRW, causing its stock price to increase by about 350,000 KRW.
On the other hand, HYBE's stock price closed at 234,000 won on March 19, up 2.41% from the previous trading day. On this day, the stock price started trading at 228,500 won and showed strength by rising to 236,500 won during the trading session. The lowest price was 228,500 won, the trading volume was 151,482 shares, and the trading value was 35.5 billion won.
