There are roughly two and a half months left until March 20—the date when BTS will release a full-length album, marking their return nearly four years after their last full album, Proof. Even so, the global atmosphere has been steadily heating up since the start of the new year, as BigHit Music officially confirmed the group’s comeback date. In particular, promotional campaigns for BTS’s new album have been gradually rolled out, further energizing discussions across the worldwide fan community.
Most recently, on January 4, fans discovered that the album’s visual identity and comeback date had been installed and put on display right in front of the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts—widely regarded as a “sacred hall” of кσяєαn arts. Located next to Gwanghwamun Square, home to the statue of King Sejong the Great, diagonally opposite the National Museum of кσяєαn Contemporary History, and just steps away from Gwanghwamun subway station—one of the busiest areas in Seoul—the installation drew attention almost immediately after it appeared.

But that was not all there was to this visual art setup. While the circular symbols retained their vivid red color during the daytime, some fans who visited the site later noticed that as night fell, the installation lit up in hues resembling a sunset or the setting sun. This detail quickly sparked speculation among fans that it could be a hint toward the group’s upcoming comeback concept.

In кσяєαn, the word for “sun” is 해 (hae), and when combined with the circular shapes, the word can be visually spelled out. Meanwhile, the gra∂ιєnt lighting effect evokes a sunset—often seen as a symbol of transition and the beginning of a new cycle. When viewed in the context of BTS’s current phase, as the members prepare to write a new chapter in their history, the imagery feels strikingly fitting: the closing of a brilliant past to usher in a hopeful new era.
Notably, Jimin himself previously mentioned “sunset” in a Weverse post during the time BTS were at a songwriting camp in Los Angeles working on the new album.
During an OT7 live broadcast in mid-August, after the album had been completed and just before they returned to кσяєα, Jimin even revealed that he almost wanted to hum a new song in the atmosphere of a sunset, saying, “As the sun goes down, that song… keeps trying to come out of my mouth.” Jin quickly stopped him with, “You need to shut up,” but Jimin continued to exclaim, “I feel like I’m going to sing the later part now. Aaaa, I want to give a spoiler.” It seems that, in hindsight, he may have already given away a subtle hint back then.

In addition, one fan offered a more in-depth explanation of the logo’s meaning, compiling its connections to themes such as “wholeness,” “spring,” and “the sun,” as below:

On another note, fans have also pointed out that the group’s official album title may be “Hello!”, a theory derived from the logo itself, combined with subtle spoilers from Jin and its thematic connection to BTS’s previous songs. The interpretation ties into the idea that "With the 'annyeong' that we start and finish the day. Let us thread tomorrow with today. Stopped for now but don't hide in the shadow. Once again daylight will glow”.
Meanwhile, in the latest announcement, BigHit Music conveyed on behalf of BTS: “Featuring 14 tracks, the album is packed with honest stories that BTS wants to share with ARMY, who have been waiting for their comeback as a whole group. Filled with music that is most true to BTS, the album is their heartfelt way of saying thank you to ARMY, who have been there the entire time.”
It has been a long time since fans last felt like detectives in the lead-up to a BTS comeback. Naturally, they are enjoying the thrill and excitement of piecing together every clue surrounding what is shaping up to be the group’s historic return more than ever. On social media, fans have been pαѕѕionately reacting to the recent wave of spoilers, expressing their growing anticipation for what lies ahead:
