HYBE’s Stepped-Up Security Measures for BTS’s Upcoming Concerts After Acid Attack Threats Reassure Fans

Before BTS’ ARIRANG World Tour reached its Latin αмєяι¢αn leg, safety threats targeting V had already surfaced online.

A TikTok account believed to be from вяαzιℓ posted content targeting V, including statements such as, “Start the ‘countdown’ for Kim Taehyung” and “Someone will not make it out of Latin αмєяι¢α alive. вяαzιℓ is the final destination". Some of the posts also featured photos of V, black ribbons, and phrases such as “Coming soon” and “30.10.26” — seemingly referring to BTS’ upcoming concert night in São Paulo, вяαzιℓ, according to the group’s current tour schedule.

Notably, this is not the first time in 2026 that V has faced content involving threats to his life. Earlier, threats involving throwing acid at the idol surfaced ahead of his concert in мєχι¢σ. In February, a shipper fan in Portugal was also accused of camping outside V’s hotel in Lisbon and making threats of physical νισℓєи¢є. Then, in September, content encouraging people to purchase tickets with the intention of attacking V at his concert in вяαzιℓ also surfaced.

The posts quickly spread across international social media platforms and attracted significant attention. BTS’ fandom, particularly V’s fans, repeatedly pushed related keywords onto trending lists and sent emails to HYBE, calling on the company to take concrete measures to prevent potential danger and strengthen the artist’s security.

Some fans even went a step further by sending protest trucks to the front of the HYBE building, accompanied by banners demanding that the company ensure V’s safety. Some sources claimed that company staff came outside to take photos of the trucks sent by fans, showing that the fandom’s pressure over the issue was far from insignificant.

And finally, HYBE appears to have given fans a reαѕѕuring response!

An ARMY recently uploaded a video showing the process of going through the security checkpoint at BTS’ concert in Bogotá, the first stop of the group’s South αмєяι¢αn leg. In the video, event staff directly informed each concertgoer about strict security regulations, particularly those concerning which types of liquids could be brought into the venue.

A staff member explained: “Liquid cosmetics cannot enter. Things like perfumes, foundation, lip gloss, aerosol sprays cannot enter either. This is because one of the guys [group member] has been threatened with acid, among other things, so liquid cosmetics are strictly prohibited. Are we clear up to this point?”

The staff member then emphasized that at the very first security checkpoint, security personnel would require attendees to throw away any prohibited items. They also provided separate instructions for those carrying medication, eye drops, or other necessary items.

The ARMY shared the video so that other fans could be aware of the measures, along with the caption: “Notice how my face changed when I heard this directly from the concert logistics team. It's one of the reasons security was so strict.”

As the video spread widely, many fans felt relieved to see that at least the concert organizers and BIGHIT MUSIC had taken the necessary steps to protect the artists’ safety, especially V, who has directly received the threats. Under the widely circulated video, fans’ reactions included:

- It is reαѕѕuring to see HYBE taking action to ensure Taehyung's safety. I just hope Taehyung is always surrounded by people who genuinely protect him

- Yes it’s reαѕѕuring but it’s absolutely horrific that this needs to happen in the first place??? I can’t imagine how he must feel, this surely is extremely stressful to know for him…and the members! Such a shadow over their experience tbh

- It’s sad that someone with this much love for us has been threatened on multiple occasions. Only wish for Tae’s and all the members’ safety

- I’m glad the company is finally taking care of Taehyung! I can’t imagine how stressful it has to be for him, this is нєαятвяєαкιиg:(( I hope Taehyung will be safe till the end of the tour

- This time, thanks to the security staff, we learned that the threat reports regarding Tae were taken seriously. I hope they’re even stricter in вяαzιℓ

- I'm glad they're taking steps... I hope they continue this throughout the latam tour and even for further stops. Taehyung's safety is priority. Other members should be safe as well.

- I’m glad they’re protecting them. But theybalso need to find out who the poster reallybwas and they need to prosecute them. Idc. Threatening someone with acid is disgusting and needs to be stopped. Wether she was just all talk or not. It’s not normal

- I’m genuinely relieved to see that strict security measures were put in place. Taehyung’s safety is not soмєтнing anyone should take lightly
