In the second half of 2024, HYBE has actually faced many problems related to the organization's operations and internal affairs. This shows the weakness in management as well as the level of professionalism and efficiency of the staff of this leading Kpop entertainment company.
Recently, they have continued to be criticized by BTS fans for their unprofessional work attitude, even being accused of disrespecting Jimin & Jungkook and their great achievements. The incident occurred after HYBE's X account posted the latest post about the кσяєαn Spotify chart.
Specifically, as the end of the year approaches, many media organizations and platforms will release data from the past year, including the streaming platform Spotify. This platform releases multiple lists of the top streamed artists on the app. K-Pop artists are included in these lists, even having a genre-specific announcement.
Afterwards, HYBE shared an update announcing Jimin‘s ranking on Spotify Korea’s charts. Jimin earned the top spot in both the song and artist categories for Korea, and this was acknowledged in a tweet. However, the content of this tweet made fans feel dissatisfied.
Many fans criticized the company for not mentioning Jimin's name, even in the hashtag, accusing the company of not supporting Jimin's activities:

Not stopping at this controversy, many Jungkook fans also expressed anger at this post. The reason they gave was that the company did not acknowledge Jungkook's achievements. Jungkook was named the most streamed K-Pop artist globally on Spotify, as well as other music streaming sites.
