For ARMYs, both V and Jungkook are two precious members of BTS and there is no confrontation between these two idols. Recently, fans once again fell into a heated battle over the album and single sales index between V and Jungkook. As a result, V won 3rd place on Artist 100 thanks to his high music product sales, frequency of music played on radio, streaming services and high level of fan interaction on social networks. The solo album "Layover" also debuted at No. 2 not only on the Billboard 200 chart but also on the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart. This means Layover is the second best-selling album of the week in the US (following Olivia Rodrigo's Guts).
However, this week, some fans discovered an oddity in V's album orders. Specifically, many ARMYs in the US pointed out that when they received V's album orders on Weverse of HYBE, they discovered that V's SD was ṃïṩṩïńġ inside while receiving Seven's SD. This case did not just happen to 1 ARMY, but many different ARMYs experienced this, making them all frustrated.
It is known that album sales had an important impact on V's achievements in his solo project, while Jungkook's album was no longer promoted, so fans felt uncomfortable when HYBE made this mistake. Many people even accused HYBE of sabotaging V's album sales by not sending the right number of albums to fans. Previously, HYBE was also criticized for underestimating V's ability to sell albums by not releasing enough albums for fans' pre-orders.

Along with that, some people pointed out that although Jungkook was not involved in the above incident, HYBE's actions will cause him to receive a lot of hate. Because HYBE had more favor for Jungkook and many of V's fans thought he was treated more unfairly so he couldn't achieve the high results expected in his solo album release:

It is known that the comparison between V and Jungkook from the "two biggest solo fandoms" started since V's debut did not reach the record of #1 Billboard Hot 100 like Jungkook's Seven had achieved.
