4/7 BTS members have made their solo albums and 3 of them have completed their promotional activities since last year. Meanwhile, ARMYs are extremely looking forward to Jimin's solo album coming out in the near future.
Previously, during the solo album releases of previous members including j-hope, Jin, and RM, HYBE received many negative feedbacks and criticisms for their work with album promotions. But many ARMYs realized the change of HYBE when listening to their suggestions during the promotion of the members' future solo albums.
The biggest example is the change in Jimin's solo album promotions. This change of HYBE makes ARMYs expect more for the next time:
2023 continues to be a year when the remaining members of BTS release their first solo album in their career. Opening the first months of this year, Jimin released his solo album called FACE.
The album includes new songs and songs that Jimin has written before, making fans extremely excited. But one thing that caught the attention of ARMYs again was the changes in the way HYBE coordinated promotions for Jimin's solo album this time around.
In the past, when j-hope, Jin, and RM released their solo products, many ARMYs commented on how HYBE didn't do well in promoting the members' solo activities. Usually, the time to promote and release information is often rushed, not enough to generate heat to attract the public.
Although knowing that it was arranged by the members as well as in the context of Jin's enlistment right after, ARMYs still think that HYBE can do better than that plan. The short pre-order time of the previous members also affected album sales. While j-hope, Jin, and RM only have about 9 days or 2 weeks for pre-orders, when it comes to Jimin, HYBE has changed to almost 1 month. This is convenient for ARMYs.
Next, the first week sales of Jimin's solo album will be reflected in the normal way as it did with BTS. It was changed thanks to ARMYs' annoyed reaction to the errors made on previous albums.
Previously, HYBE was heavily criticized because j-hope was not allowed to release a physical album, which resulted in not being counted in sales. After that, despite the change, the next members had physical albums but the first week sales were only reflected from sales in kσrєα. Meanwhile, overseas sales take 1 month from the date of delivery to be aggregated.
In addition, some other changes have come from the release of Jimin's solo album, although it seems to come from his plan, it also makes ARMYs see better about HYBE's changes in promotion for BTS' solo activities such as promoting music shows and organizing fansigns for Jimin. For the previous members, they did not pay attention to doing music shows to gain achievements, which is also a disadvantage because it is a traditional way of promoting.
But this time, Jimin confirmed his participation in the music show. Along with that, Jimin will also hold a fansign video with lucky ARMYs. This is what many ARMYs have been looking forward to since the last fansign about 3 years ago. The fansign video is an opportunity for ARMYs to interact with him more closely.
In general, with more positive changes from HYBE, ARMYs feel more secure that the boys will be guaranteed more rights with their solo album. Meanwhile, ARMYs also expect that they will maintain this in their next solo album promotions:
- we just wait and see how they'll treat the next member's solo. hope they keep this positive promotion
- It's true that the pre-sales and stuff like that can be blamed on the company, it's lucky that they fix it
- HYBE, pls listen to ARMYs
- This change seems to be better than the previous's solo. If they keep it for the next member, I will change my mindset about HYBE
- That's right, Jimin have a good plan for his solo album from HYBE. They should do it for other members too
- Good job, HYBE. I ever felt angry with the first week sale of previous members.
