BTS’s first concert in вяαzιℓ took place on the evening of October 28 (local time) at MorumBIS Stadium in São Paulo. With a 360-degree stage at the center of the stadium, more than 81,000 fans (some reports put the figure at around 84,000 or even higher) created a sea of lights and such powerful unison singing that j-hope exclaimed, “You guys, this is seriously unbelievable,” and “I can hear your voices from the back with a delay. It’s truly amazing.”
Although BTS and ARMY shared an unforgettable opening night as the group returned to the South αмєяι¢αn country after seven years, the event was also marred by numerous organizational shortcomings. Most notably, hundreds of fans were reportedly left stranded outside the stadium despite holding valid tickets, unable to attend the concert they had been looking forward to.
The issue has sparked heated discussions on social media, along with growing calls for legal action against the parties involved, including Live Nation and Ticketmaster вяαzιℓ.
According to posts shared on X, stadium entrances, particularly Gate 17, were closed while large numbers of ticket-holding fans were still waiting outside. Some attendees said the gates were shut approximately 55 minutes before the concert was scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Standing in the rain, ARMY who could not get inside repeatedly chanted “abre” (“open”), but received no satisfactory response.
These fans alleged that Live Nation had sold more tickets than the venue could actually accommodate, resulting in overcrowding inside and forcing organizers to close the gates before everyone with a valid ticket could enter. One frustrated fan said that paying for a legitimate ticket, making it all the way to the stadium, and still being denied entry was “worse than being scammed.”
Other complaints highlighted the lack of numbered seating, insufficient restroom facilities, and poor crowd management. Although Live Nation had previously stated that water stations, ambulances, and around 400 staff members would be available, many attendees said their actual experience was still chaotic and that adequate αѕѕistance was nowhere to be found.
The situation inside the stadium was no better. Photos and posts shared by fans showed the pista floor packed with people, while some spectators in the seated sections had to sit on the stairs because no seats were available. VIP camarote areas were also reportedly packed to capacity. The density of the crowd raised safety concerns, particularly given the stadium’s aging structure.

Another notable consequence was the lack of sufficient safe space along the planned route for BTS members to perform the “IDOL” stadium walk, a signature moment featured at other tour stops. Live Nation had to announce during the concert that all seven members would perform the song entirely onstage instead. The segment is also unlikely to return for the next two shows on October 30 and 31.

Before the concert, the event had already faced controversy over ticket prices that were higher than those in other regions, issues with the stage map—with PIT 1 and PIT 2 мιѕѕιиg from the ticketing map—and the reduction in LED screens from 12 to just four compared with other tour stops. These issues prompted Procon-SP, Ministério Público, and Senacon to demand explanations.
Although Live Nation denied exceeding the venue’s capacity and maintained that it had followed the configuration announced for the South αмєяι¢αn leg, reports from the event have fueled allegations of poor organization and overselling. Calls to file complaints and take legal action against Live Nation and Ticketmaster вяαzιℓ are spreading across social media, including:
- Imagine leaving your city, getting to the venue with the ticket you PAID for, and being blocked from entering because they shut the gates? People were standing right at the doors, tickets in hand—this is beyond unacceptable. Report and sue this trash company
- My God, Live Nation вяαzιℓ really went too far this time, and if they don't get in, do they even give them a refund or what?
- The lack of organization is so bad THAT THEY SIMPLY CLOSED GATE 17 AND THERE'S A TON OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE. Live Nation go fck yourselves, VIP boxes/suites too, absolutely zero αѕѕistance provided
- It's so sad because most people bought directly from Ticketmaster and for the VIP suites. The total lack of αѕѕistance, responses, and organization for those left outside was downright toxic, and the lack of empathy for those inside too—after all, they overcrowded the venue.
- We don't have all the big screens. We don't have idol pαѕѕes. Tickets are ridiculously expensive. Lack of organization in everything. No numbered seats. Overcrowding. They closed the gates before everyone entered. Lack of access to the bathroom. B-Army is being treated like sh1t, this is outrageous
- It seems we have even more evidence to add to the complaint against Live Nation вяαzιℓ and Ticketmaster
- How can you sell someone a valid ticket and still deny them entry to the concert? Live Nation and Ticketmaster вяαzιℓ need to take responsibility for this unacceptable mess
- How did things get so out of control? Live Nation and Ticketmaster вяαzιℓ need to explain what happened and address these serious concerns
- Fans paid for an experience they may never get back. Nobody should have to stand outside a stadium with a valid ticket while the concert is happening inside. This situation deserves a proper investigation
