Following Jin, j-hope enlisted in the army in April this year and became the second member of BTS to become an instructor after graduating from basic training. Over the past several months, j-hope has been reported to be mentoring various trainees at the 36th Army Recruit Training Center in Wonju.
In particular, some of the rookies who were trained by j-hope admired and loved him so much that they left their impressions about the Kpop superstar in one of j-hope's videos. The feelings and experiences of these rookies when being trained by j-hope gave fans a detailed look at the work he is doing.

These days, while fans are reviewing memorable moments from BTS's career in the documentary BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, j-hope is working hard on the field. Some photos of j-hope teaching new recruits at the 36th Army Recruit Training Center were revealed on The Camp.
Fans' hearts awakened when they saw Corporal j-hope's serious and strong appearance. He looked cool in his military uniform, showing off his completely new temperament as an instructor for other recruits. Fans couldn't help but express their pride when seeing him successfully complete the assigned tasks.
Meanwhile, over the past eight months, as an assistant instructor, j-hope has led many new recruit courses to complete basic military training. Along with that, many trainees as well as their family members told stories about his wonderful personality. From taking good care of new recruits to being friendly with their family members, j-hope makes ARMYs even more proud.
Not only that, recently, a few rookies who were once managed by j-hope shared their honest feelings about the Kpop superstar in the army. They left a comment under a video of j-hope on Youtube with the hope that many people would read it to see how great the BTS rapper was, even when he was in the army.
They wrote that under the comment section:
- "I was trained under Jung Hoseok training instructor-nim, and I miss it"
- "I literally looked at his face every minute. He was super-friendly, paid close attention to trainees and took good care of them. When they look exhausted, he gave them lots of strength. Popular among trainees."
- "He explained military tactics very calmly and in detail. Lots of times, he came to trainees in a very friendly way. Whatever he did, he did in the FM way (in a standard, perfect way) and even from a man's point of view, he was so cool."
When he was a member of BTS, j-hope was always the vitamin of all the members and he also became the person who made the other members feel happy. Now, when he joins the army, j-hope also brings the same positive energy to his teammates as well as other young soldiers. His name truly reflects his personality and personality.
