How Bit Hit Scouted And Recruited Jungkook At The Age Of 14

Currently, it is estimated that over 1 million people aspire to become idols in Korea. Becoming an idol must be the dream of many people including Jungkook. But the turn for him to come to BTS is like a natural arrangement.

It's hard to imagine what BTS would be like without Jungkook there. Luckily for ARMYs, Big Hit found Jungkook in 2011 and set him on a path to becoming the group's favorite vocalist, dancer, and maknae.

Here is the story of how Jungkook got scouted by Big Hit:

Idols standing on stage with sparkling lights, performing good songs, beautiful dances and receiving love from many fans is truly an enviable profession and many people aspire to. There are many ways to become an idol and agencies also have many ways to find talented trainees.

It could be street casting when the company's staff accidentally came across someone who "looks like an idol". Another method is to attend auditions of labels or attend auditions for music programs where the company's staffs follow to recruit candidates.

Jungkook is a prime example of this. Specifically, Jungkook once revealed that the day he was recruited by Big Hit was April 24. The number 20110424 is also a commemorative number that Jungkook mentioned later.

Perhaps many people do not know that April 24 of that year was also the day he auditioned for the super hit survival show Superstar K3. Jungkook made it to the second audition round and he was only 14 years old at the time. During this audition, it was fortunate that Big Hit Entertainment scouts were present and watched Jungkook's performance.

Although Jungkook didn't have a perfect "Lost Child" performance or made it to the next round of Superstar K3, he was discovered by the staff as having potential to become an idol. He then received an offer to join Big Hit Entertainment.

But that's not all, besides Big Hit, Jungkook also received invitations from 6 entertainment companies bigger than Big Hit at that time. He has been targeted by big companies like JYP Entertainment, Starship Entertainment, TS Entertainment, CUBE Entertainment, FNC Entertainment, Woollim Entertainment.

In the end, Jungkook chose the smallest agency but where he started his biggest career with BTS. Jungkook has become an integral part of BTS and together created the biggest entertainment company today - HYBE.
