Here's A Glimpse Of Each BTS Member In Their School Days

In the eyes of the public and fans, the 7 members of BTS are the top K-pop idols and BTS is the “21st century pop icon”. It is not an exaggeration to say that the idols in their 30s are role models in terms of talent and work ethic.

But like any other young people, they also had “tumultuous” years as teenagers. In a magazine issue, the members recounted what kind of students they were during their school days.

From high achievers to procrastinators, each member has a different story when it comes to school. Check out what each member had to say below.

1. R.M

Known for his impressive IQ of 148, RM was initially at the top of his clαѕѕ. However, he dropped out when he shifted his focus to BTS.

He said, “When I was in middle school I was an honor student, and I was also the type of person who wanted to be clαѕѕ president but I got into the company and my life as a trainee started so I just went to school to sleep (laughs). Before entering the company I also had a result to be able the enter the 1st of the top of the nation, but after I fell to 2nd~3rd.”

Even when he “slept” in clαѕѕ, he was still in the top positions, how admirable! If RM hadn’t pursued an idol career, it’s very possible that a politician like Kim Nam Joon would be in front of us.

2. Jin

When it comes to school, Jin considers himself an “average student”. Surprisingly, the reason he became like that is because he has a much deeper love for video games.

“I also have a dorky side but I listened well in clαѕѕ, I also ate well and when it ended I went straight to home. I was the so-called mediocre student,” Jin said humorously.

Even now, when he has free time, he sometimes plays games on live broadcasts for fans to watch. Well, even Jin can’t resist the charm of video games like any other boy.

3. SUGA

SUGA seems to be the one who surprised fans the most with his achievements when he was in school. He was known to be a hard-working student and never broke any school rules.

More notably, SUGA was a member of the student council, basketball team and even composed the school’s national anthem with his musical sкιℓℓs.

4. j-hope

Having shown a pαѕѕion for dancing since he was young, j-hope was more interested in and learning about choreography than focusing on theory lessions.

He recalled: "In middle school, while I stu∂ιєd I also did my best learning how to dance! I received various awards with my performances and I remember that was also pretty famous between my friends~".

5. Jimin

Jimin was so tired from his trainee life that he slept a lot in school, just like the leader of BTS. He laughed as he told: "I entered an art school in Busan! But since I became a trainee I had lessons till dawn and I slept during clαѕѕes".

6. V.

V spent all his time eating — and he even shared an exciting tidbit about entering a Drag Competition.

“When it was break time I went to take a peek of all the clαѕѕrooms, I also went to buy soмєтнing to eat, I was a kid who couldn’t stop for even a second. When I was in elementary school I participated in a Drag Competition (he wore female clothes) and I pαѕѕed the qualification so it’d became a good memory”, he said.

7. Jung Kook

Jungkook's shy and introverted personality made it difficult for him to make friends when he first arrived in Seoul, so he was a bit lonely. "In order to become a trainee I came from Busan to Seoul but I was shy and couldn’t make friends, so I was kind of lonely…" Jungkook said.

For those who often change schools or have to migrate, they will surely understand his sadness. But luckily, Jungkook still has 6 older brothers who love and support him as he grows up.
