RM and V completed their military service in the early morning of Tuesday, June 10, 2025. Both idols began their military service on December 11, 2023, completing their 18-month terms in different military divisions.
At around 9 a.m. this morning, the two got out of the car and hugged each other in a short but warm greeting. RM, who appeared amid cheers, then approached the fans while wearing sunglαѕѕes and playing the saxophone. V responded with a bright smile while holding 2 bouquets in both hands.
This was the two's first official greeting to the media after their discharge. It is known that Sinbuk-eup Sports Park was announced as the location for RM and V to briefly interact with the press and greet fans online while there was "no special event" for fans to take place.
However, through some videos and photos provided by кσяєαn media, fans were extremely disappointed to see a crowd of fans appearing at the discharge location.
These fans gathered in large numbers in an unplanned area, even on both sides of the road and around the stadium. They were noted to be carrying many recording devices, banners and shouting loudly.
Meanwhile, some people also pointed out that the majority of the fans in that crowd were foreign fans, not just K-ARMYs.
Fortunately, no υиєχρє¢тє∂ incidents occurred, but ARMYs felt uncomfortable when these fans disregarded the wishes of the members and tarnished the fandom's image:
- They aren't ARMY because ARMY listens to BTS and aren't there. 100%!
- So disappointed with these so-called fans. Man, they were contented and didn't even respected the request of the boys. How much more tomorrow.
- This row of fans, your face has been broadcast live worldwide. You guys broke the rules, went on-site, stole the media’s spots, and screamed crazily while they were talking. Because of you guys, ARMYs can’t be praised for listening to BTS and not go there. You guys are going to be hated by BTS and other ARMYs. I hope you guys will get blacklisted by the company and never be able to get BTS tickets again
- Does these people know BTS doesn’t consider them as armys? For once listen to the people you claim to stan and stop embarrassing yourself and pls go home.
- BTS knows they are not armys just sasesng
- So disappointed with these so-called fans. Man, they were contented and didn't even respected the request of the boys. How much more tomorrow. The fact that they wasted ambulances so that they can dispatched it in the place just to prevent any α¢¢ι∂єитs during the event.
- The fact that some of them kept hugging each other even after seeing RM and V just shows they came for their own wish — not to respect what BTS or BigHit had asked
- Most of them covering their faces, they know what they're doing
- Like frrrrr????! Imagine them getting out and the first thing they see is a bunch of people standing outside as if they didn't get on their knees to request them not to come!!!!
- The way most of them are covered with hats/masks because they know what they’re doing is wrong and don’t want to be exposed yet they still show up
- They didn't have any respect towards BTS, do something pls Big Hit. Tomorrow may even has bigger crowd
Meanwhile, Big Hit Music has issued a statement asking fans to avoid going to the discharge area for the safety of BTS themselves, other sol∂ιєrs, and their families. The statement also stated that there will be no organized gatherings to mark the event.
The behavior of some of the fans above is reprehensible for breaking the rules. ARMYs ask fans to learn from their experience for Jungkook and Jimin's discharge ceremony tomorrow to avoid a similar situation.
Fandoms encouraged fans to gather “online” instead to cheer for the superstars’ comeback. Hashtags like ##ReturnOfOurJooniverse, #WelcomeBackTaehyung, #D_DayToMeet_V and many more were trending globally.
