Year-end awards ceremonies are always the most anticipated events for fans. Not only do they gather many famous stars in one event with unique performances, the awards of the event also become the top topic of discussion.

On the evening of November 16, the кσяєα Grand Music Awards 2024 (KGMA) organized by Ilgan Sports (Edaily M) officially took place. The award ceremony includes a series of famous K-Pop stars such as D.O. (EXO), TVXQ, BIBI, NewJeans, STAYC, (G)I-DLE, Lee Young Ji, Jeon Dong Won (JD1), ZEROBASEONE... attract the attention of fans.
KGMA 2024 is considered one of the biggest and most prestigious award ceremonies for Kpop idols. Besides artists such as NewJeans, (G)I-DLE, aespa, ATEEZ, etc. BTS is also on the nomination list at the 2024 кσяєαn Grand Music Awards for their contributions to the music industry this year.
Since September this year, the fandom has been excited and calling on ARMYs around the world to vote for BTS members in the nominated categories. Including V, j-hope, Jimin, Jungkook, RM were in the 'Best 10 Artist' category, j-hope in the Best Hip-hop category or other categories such as Best 10 Songs, Kpop Solo,...
However, after the awards ceremony ended, KGMA 2024 was accused of being unfair, causing fandoms including ARMYs to suffer. Outrage erupted online as fans flooded social media and forums, expressing their dissatisfaction with the alleged favoritism shown to the artists attending the show.
K-pop fans, especially BTS ARMY, felt that the group's members were ignored. First, although j-hope dominated the 'Best Hip-hop' category with an impressive 81.1% of the votes, the award was eventually given to Lee Young Ji, who ranked sixth with just 0.6% of the votes. Next, in the Top 10 Artist category, V, Jimin, Jungkook and RM, who had the highest number of votes, were not named at the event.
Although fans were delighted that V won the 'Trend of the Year - K-pop Solo Artist' award, the above details made ARMYs doubt the legitimacy and the scoring system of KGMA. Previously, KGMA stated that they give 20% to expert evaluation, 45% to performance and 35% to fan votes to decide the winner of an artist in a particular category.

- Taehyung won #1 in both Kpop Solo & Best Artist but #KGMA2024 changed the voting rules in the last minute & hand his awards to whoever they want! We will never support this award show again, never! Shame on you!
- KGMA should be transparent of their winning criteria at this point. What's the 65% for? Sales, streams or is this another attendance award we didn't get the memo?
- What award show now? should've just arranged a concert or soмєтнing "vote on what you want to see these attendees perform!
