At the end of June 2025, Jin officially kicked off his first solo tour titled "RunSeokjin EP. Tour", starting in Goyang (South кσяєα), then expanding to נαραи, North αмєяι¢α, and now the final leg – Europe. There are only 3 shows left until he completes his journey of running to meet ARMYs around the world.
18 shows have been sold out at major venues such as Honda Center (Anaheim), αмєяι¢αn Airlines Center (Dallas), Prudential Center (Newark), and especially the O2 Arena in London recently, where he became the first solo K‑pop artist to perform there, showing his absolute appeal and the immense love fans have for the BTS superstar.
In return for that love, Jin always performs pαѕѕionately, tries to interact with fans as much as possible, and even brings fun fan service during the concerts. Although the concert was praised for opening a new concept of fan-participating concerts, there were still a few incidents involving overly enthusiastic fans, making Jin realize the potential danger in close interaction with fans and even forcing him to make a difficult decision.
This was sincerely shared by him during a live broadcast on Weverse Live after his performance at the O2 Arena on August 5. He regretfully informed fans that he would completely stop “touching hands” with fans in upcoming concerts.
He confided: “I used to go around during performances and touch fans’ hands like this. But there were fans who just touched my hand, and others who tried to grab it like this.”
“As I was grabbing hands like this, fans had their hands out, right? So I’d go around and touch them like this. But when someone grabbed my hand here, and it happened like this, it got a bit dangerous. My hand would get pulled like this, and the fans would end up like this too,” he continued. “So from then on, I wanted to touch hands, but I got scared and couldn’t do it anymore.”
He also expressed his sadness that fans didn’t listen to his request: “Last time I said, ‘Please don’t grab my hand just touch it,’ but that didn’t really work. So after that, I was scared and couldn’t really do hand‑touching anymore. I just thought that if soмєтнing were to happen because of me, I’d feel so bad. Even though the fans sincerely wish for hand touches, I was truly, truly sorry.”
Jin’s concern is completely valid, and he and the BTS members are the last ones who want ARMYs to experience serious issues when attending their concerts. Despite his personal wishes and thinking about himself first, his decision came from concern for fans’ well-being and a desire to preserve a connection that doesn’t cause harm.
What Jin mentioned are things that have happened many times before, not only at Jin’s concerts but also at j-hope’s. Although it’s understandable to be excited about touching an idol’s hand, many careless fans often hold the idol’s hand too tightly or for too long, even pulling hard enough to cause scratches.
Fortunately, no case has led to fans being in dangerous situations, but it’s clear that the danger and tension in the interaction can be felt. It also causes discomfort for other respectful fans nearby.
When Jin brought this up, fans on social media also expressed anger toward those who didn’t respect his words, leading to the cancellation of a form of interaction that the male idol and genuine ARMYs truly loved and looked forward to. On the other hand, fans were also touched by Jin’s sincere heart and the love he has for ARMYs:
- It only takes 1 greedy bish to ruin everything. But Jin's decision is exact to prevent the incident
- Give the man the respect he deserves. A few fans ruin this for Jin and real ARMY
- What needs to be noted is that he was already harαѕѕed by that creep at the high touch event. He STILL wanted to interact with ARMYs. Some of these delulus really need to stop
- Why can't ppl just understand. And this is exactly why we can't have nice things
- Oh god. Why can't these people not understand with their thick skull to not do that??
- he's so right for setting boundaries and y'all should αѕѕume we only got one (1) chance to f*ck up
- Everyone faces because of some entitled bishes.. people please understand that this behaviour is not okayyy!! You won't get your y/n moment by holding his hand so be respectful of him and others..
- don't apologize, jin. not your fault, jin. we are sorry there are fools, idiots, and stupids trying to have you or just your hand, trying to hurt you, making you think like this.
- Good decision. Creeps with no boundaries or respect do not deserve any access to him. He is far too kind and his kindness is wasted on these ungrateful, dangerous people. You don't get to touch him. Period.
- it's not your fault seokjin.... don't say sorry pls. Some impolite people ruin all the good things he enjoyed
- At the end of the day, he still thinks for ARMYs but some one don't deserve his love
- just for your y/n, you would put the artist and lots of other fans in a very dangerous situation ???????
- He sounds so disappointed while saying sigh. So disappointed these people
- its so sad when other people ruin it for people actually respecting his boundaries :((
