Although V is currently serving his military service, his name has never stopped being hot on social media. Especially these days, when his discharge date is approaching, V has shared many photos of himself recently.
A few days ago, V made the online community stir when he posted a photo at a gym, showing his impressive weight loss journey. He wrote in the post: "Still, recently..! I've ℓσѕт a lot of weight, right..? I ℓσѕт 10kg.. heeheehee. I will work harder".
V knows how to make fans excited and ARMYs can't stop admiring the photos he shares. Previously, V also went viral with photos in military uniform and a trip to a traditional market in Chuncheon - where he is stationed.
On the other hand, recently ARMYs have not only received photos from V but also been curious about his friend's latest post. On the 31st, Levi - a close friend of V shared Studio Ghibli-style photos on his personal Instagram account.
The photos posted include Levi, V, and his late pet dog Yeontan, making fans feel emotional.
The Studio Ghibli-style photos that have been trending on SNS recently were created by OpenAI, the next-generation image generation tool in GPT-4o. The remade photos have Hayao Miyazaki's signature features - from the vibrant colors, characters' expression, to the poetic natural scenery.
When looking at these redrawn photos, fans can't help but imagine the original. Some bold fans have begged Levi to share the original photos he took with V in the army and on their trip.
Meanwhile, the photo Levi took with Yeontan during dinner at V's house has been revealed before.
Fans' comments show their great interest in the photos:
- Thank you Levi, Now we need the originals please
- Levi knows Taehyung’s love for Ghibli artworks
- Drop the originals pls, the AI ver is good but we need the original ver too
- Post the real pics levi, we really want this
- Tell levi im his fiancé. Don’t joke around
- First two pics??? I need them in real style
- A BESTIE THROUGH AND THROUGH LOOK AT THEM MY BABIES

- NEW PICS OF TAEHYUNGIE. I want the real photo too
- DOES HE WANT ME TO CRY
On the other hand, despite the recent popularity of Ghibli-style photos, this AI-generated image is facing a lot of criticism. In Japan, Studio Ghibli has not made any official comments about this new tool, but Hayao Miyazaki, the co-founder of the film studio, has always been strongly against AI in art.
Journalist Luke Plunkett from Kotaku was even more harsh, criticizing this trend as "trash" and claiming that it is an infringement of creative rights. He also called on netizens to stop sharing Studio Ghibli-inspired images using AI.
Therefore, some fans are hoping that V's friend shares the original photos instead of this post!
