On this particular day, Jimin was spotted departing for the U.S. alongside several BTS members, reportedly to begin working on the group’s new album, set for release in spring next year. He is also said to be attending an event co-hosted by CEW and Dior on July 10.
Meanwhile, another intriguing piece of news related to Jimin has been spreading rapidly on social media: the appearance of a TikTok account rumored to belong to the BTS superstar, under the usernam "j.m.ofbts1".
This account was α¢¢ι∂єитally discovered by fans and quickly shared around with speculation that it could be Jimin’s secret personal account. Within just a few hours of the rumor spreading, the account had already gained nearly 200,000 followers, further fueling speculation that it might indeed be his yet-to-be-public account.
However, some fans noticed irregularities that cast doubt on the account’s authenticity. One user pointed out that even if Jimin had created a new account, TikTok would have verified it with a blue checkmark, just as they did with j-hope’s account when it's just opended with only around 4,500 followers at the time.
This user also added another point to support her claim: "TikTok has always linked their music to accounts like this, I remember V also had soмєтнing like this. I really think this account is fake because if you scroll further through the linked music, you’ll notice songs from unrelated artists."
Many other fans echoed the concern, agreeing that the account is likely a fake, created to attract attention online for various reasons, including:

Jimin has not mentioned having any other social media accounts besides his Instagram. And even if he did have a private account, the fact that it went viral so quickly would almost certainly prompt him to make an official statement—just as Jungkook did when a private account of his was α¢¢ι∂єитally exposed.
For this reason, it’s best that we stop spreading rumors and refrain from sharing unverified accounts, to avoid giving bad actors a chance to exploit fans’ trust.
