Dispatch Reveals Angry Reactions Of K-pop Companies When They Know BTS's Priority Regarding 2023 World Scout Jamboree

Recently, the related topic between BTS and The 2023 World Scout Jamboree is becoming a hot potato in the media and SNS. In particular, this morning when HYBE issued a statement refusing to let BTS attend the event according to the previous call of the government, this topic was discussed more than ever.

Not only that, recently, Dispatch also revealed the reaction of Kpop companies after the groups of these companies were required to join The 2023 World Scout Jamboree concert without being refused while BTS and HYBE can do this. The angry reaction of Kpop companies made netizens excited to discuss and give mixed opinions.

Here are the situations and information surrounding the topic of most interest today:

As ARMYs all know about the ruling party's congressman Sung Il Jong's call for BTS to have them perform at The 2023 World Scout Jamboree. Even enlisted members like Jin and j-hope have been asked to temporarily retire from army to participate in this event to save the nation's honor after the summer camp had so many serious failures.

кσяєαn fans as well as people were extremely angry at this plan of the government. They believe that the MPs are abusing their power to bring back BTS to cover up their lack of preparation in terms of environmental conditions, health care, food, weather and natural disaster response options, and the embezzlement of public funds relating to The 2023 World Scout Jamboree.

But fans were then reαѕѕured when this morning, кσяєαn media revealed that HYBE and BTS had refused to appear at the 2023 World Scout Jamboree K-Pop Concert. HYBE gave the reason for this rejection because the members' schedules were full and could not prepare for the performance.

Dispatch later revealed that although BTS was unable to appear at the 2023 World Scout Jamboree K-Pop Concert, HYBE ended up sending BTS photo cards to distribute to attendees. HYBE is expected to send the concert organizers about 45,000 photos of BTS to distribute to attendees.

Meanwhile, after BTS refused to attend the event as well as send replacement card photos, other Kpop companies were so annoyed because they couldn't do the same. Dispatch has revealed some of the reactions of some employees in entertainment companies who wish to remain anonymous regarding this event.

First, they pointed out that the organizers' plan was to use the concert as a compensation plan for scouts who attended the camp and to appease the public's anger. Ideally, they'll try to turn a World Scout Jamboree nightmare into a positive memory thanks to K-pop.

However, Idols are very busy people, who cannot simply be casted just a day or two in advance. Many popular idols carry out multiple schedules per day. This makes it very difficult to remove pre-scheduled events in favor of others, as their schedules are already optimized to ensure constant promotion around their promotional periods, with schedules such as fan signings, performances, fan meetings, interviews, content filming, and others.

Organizers of The 2023 World Scout Jamboree only care about their personal goals though, not taking into account any of the agencies’ circumstances. This started with the changing of the concert venue two different times and causing all performers to be on emergency standby. Along with that, these companies did not dare to refuse the government's request except for HYBE and BTS.

An angry K-pop company official said, “Do we even have the power to refuse events put on by the government? If they ask us to attend, we have no choice but to match the schedule.”

Another commented, “We canceled out schedules on August 6 so we could attend the concert. Then the concert date suddenly changed to August 11. We are rescheduling our Friday schedules now. I don’t think they understand idol schedules."

Another company manager added, “The company works hard to produce an album. The singers pour their hearts into the album during that time. If the date of the concert and the venue changes two times, plans will inevitably get mixed up all over the place.

It’s nice that K-Pop performances will be able to bring comfort to the scouts who suffered. However, it is regrettable that there is no understanding or consideration to the artists themselves.”

Or others complain:

- When a schedule is cancelled, both the fans and the other parties involved complain. If we rented a venue or soмєтнing, we have to rent it again. That doubles the costs. The company must then settle all of the complaints and bear the weight of the monetary damages.

- The cost of hair and makeup for idols is over ₩10.0 million KRW (about $7,620 USD). It’s a situation where we are unsure whether we can call our staff because there is no guarantee the event will take place.

- No one will think this is Music Bank just because Music Bank’s team is casting the artists. You can’t just say it’s a concert and not Music Bank, and artists will appear. It’s an event that is held for the country, so everyone must deal with it.

Besides, they pointed out that HYBE and BTS could easily decline and send photocards to the event instead of participating directly. Although, they are angry and disagree with the way of organizing committee as well as the government's c0ercion when forcing groups of these companies to serve the event, they could not do anything else.

Meanwhile, the artists that have been confirmed to join Jamboree including IVE, ITZY, New Jeans, NMIXX, MAMAMOO, etc. have only recently received notices. They will even have to gather starting from the morning of August 11 (ie tomorrow morning, KST) to conduct rehearsals and check the order of performances.
