Crazed Fan Arrested After Trying to Break Onto the Stage to Approach BTS Members at Chicago Concert

BTS held two concerts as part of their “ARIRANG” World Tour on August 27 and 28 (local time) at Sol∂ιєr Field in Chicago, USA. Chicago was an important stop on the North αмєяι¢αn leg of the tour, providing another measure of the au∂ιєnce response following the group’s previous shows. And as expected, the enthusiastic support from fans filled the stands, with thunderous cheers and nonstop fanchants seemingly shaking the entire stadium.

Even the members were overwhelmed by the pαѕѕionate support from local fans after returning to Chicago for the first time in seven years. During the ending ment, RM confidently declared that Chicago was “the most beautiful town out of the whole αмєяι¢α”. The leader thanked fans for giving BTS the chance to see them again after such a long time, sing along with them, and dance together on this special night. Meanwhile, Jungkook could hardly hide his reluctance to leave. After letting out a sigh, the Golden Maknae said, “Chicago, I don’t wanna leave!”

Although most of the concert went smoothly and left a positive impression on both the artists and fans, a minor incident did occur. After the show, a video showing a man being handcuffed and escorted out of the concert venue by security personnel quickly attracted attention on social media, especially because Chicago au∂ιєnces had received widespread praise for their enthusiasm and respectful behavior throughout both nights.

Specifically, in the circulating video, the man can be seen being escorted out while BTS were performing “FIRE x FYA” on stage. According to fans who were present at Sol∂ιєr Field, the individual was restrained by security after allegedly engaging in behavior that could have put the BTS members at risk.

Some witnesses recounted that while the group was performing, the man attempted to get past the security area and approach the barricade before he “jumped down from 128 and tried to get on stage.” Had he succeeded, the act could have brought him dangerously close to the performance area and posed a direct risk to the members. Fortunately, the Sol∂ιєr Field security team reacted immediately and restrained the individual before he could reach the superstars.

More concerningly, this was not the first time a similar situation had occurred during the ARIRANG World Tour. In late June, while BTS were performing “Body To Body” at Riyadh Air Metropolitano, a man was seen attempting to climb over the barricade and “jump on Jimin,” who was moving toward a secondary stage to interact with the dancers. Fortunately, security intervened before the man could reach the idol, although Jimin also appeared slightly ѕтαятℓє∂ by the incident.

The repeated occurrence of similar dangerous behavior has left ARMYs increasingly concerned about BTS’ safety. Fans are calling on everyone to respect the idols’ boundaries while also urging HYBE and the event organizers to continue strengthening security measures so that the memorable moments of ARIRANG are not disrupted by reckless behavior.

On social media, the circulating video has sparked numerous reactions from fans and other netizens:

- They're lucky the stadium security got them and not Mr. Lee and team! @Sol∂ιєrField thank you to your staff for being observant and handling the situation efficiently and professionally

- God please protect bts from those people. Thank you security for keeping our boys safe

- That's fcking crazy jvmp that person as* immediately. Thanks to security and staff for protecting our boys

- I did not witness this and I'm really thankful that most ARMYs probably didn't. For the best!!

- They said he landed looking like a chalk outline on the pavement and hopped up like nothing happened. Dude...

- Jumping is scary dear I am happy that security did a great job otherwise that person can step on stage and prolly touch hug members omg That's insane

- Wtf ... I had the best experience from row 4, the security person on my section came down 4 or 5 times to tell people to go back up (yes, it started right from Hooligan!) , by the time Idol came up no one dared move an inch !

- This happened in front of me!! ran right past me in d4 to jump the barricade. i’m so glad the boys were on the other side of the stage and didn’t see it

- What a dumbαѕѕ!! Those fire flares come on at any time, and of course, they could have injury the boys. Just a total a*shole!

- Glad he was arrested.... Going forward  i believe the security will be more alerted to stop this from happening again ..
