CORTIS Fans Spark Outrage Over Allegedly Disrespecting BTS and Claiming Their Idol Will Replace the Senior

Since their debut, CORTIS have never hidden their admiration for their seniors at the same company or their view of them as role models. In particular, CORTIS leader Martin has repeatedly described himself as a huge BTS fan. He shared that his musical dream began with watching the group perform: “As a fan who grew up watching BTS's performances since he was a child, the first time I saw their concerts was at Jamsil Stadium. While watching the stage at that time, I first dreamed of 'I want to be on that stage, too.'"

When talking about what the BTS members are like in person, the HYBE rookies also had nothing but praise for their character. Juhoon said, “They’re like living legends or soмєтнing,” while Martin added an important compliment: “They’re really nice people too.”  Because of this, Juhoon said meeting BTS in person never made him feel intimidated: “When we like kind of meet in face to face, they donʼt feel like crazy, like celebrity, but older brothers. They’re very kind to us.”

Although the CORTIS members have always shown immense admiration, respect, and affection for BTS, it seems that some of their fans do not feel the same way. More notably, a group of overly aggressive fans has recently joined an online campaign attacking BTS!

Specifically, ARMYs discovered that a group of people believed to be CORTIS fans had been helping spread the hashtag #btsdisband widely on X, along with offensive messages targeting BTS such as: “And yes Coers WILL be joining the #btsdisband party. Don’t exclude us”, “BTS can disband tomorrow and cortis will still be living comfortably off their own streams, sales and tours. They are literally the present and future of that company”, and more.

The hashtag #btsdisband was started by a group of extreme haters and antis who have been taking advantage of BTS’ recent controversies — from BTS’ collaboration with AI Gemini and their interactions related to Chris Brown to allegations that the group has an “extreme obsession with minor weight” and puts pressure on other idols. These people have continuously used offensive language, ¢υяѕєd at the members, and directed their attacks at BTS in an attempt to tarnish the group’s reputation and fuel the downfall of both BTS and the ARMY fandom.

A נαραиese girl group called f5ve was also recently accused of taking part in this negative campaign. On August 18, it was discovered that the group’s TikTok account had reposted a video containing the hashtag #btsdisband. However, the group then faced heavy backlash from ARMYs and was forced to remove it from its page.

Meanwhile, returning to the wave of attacks on BTS from a section of Coers, these accounts did more than simply spread the hashtag. They also posted messages such as: “VOTE CORTIS AND SAVE THE INDUSTRY FROM BTS” when BTS and CORTIS were the only two K-pop boy groups nominated at the 2026 VMAs. For many ARMYs, this was no longer simply about supporting their idols but had become an intentional attempt to belittle a senior group.

Notably, even after some genuine CORTIS fans reminded fellow fans not to get involved in or participate in the #btsdisband campaign, some still remained defiant, even responding with, “Who gonna stop me?” This only left genuine CORTIS fans increasingly frustrated and embarrαѕѕed.

Some fans openly stated that these accounts do not represent the CORTIS fandom and are simply using the group’s name to create “rage bait.” One fan wrote: “Just go to hell B1tch. Leave Cortis alone. Stop token stanning to Cortis just to drag their Senior.” Another fan said: “You're not a fan. Get out and join those low IQ stantwt bullies. Cortis already got genuine fans who don't need to do this rage bait bs and are actually here for Cortis.”

Someone else even criticized those dragging CORTIS into fandom wars simply to gain engagement: “Throwing Cortis under the bus for just a нιт tweets, this вιт¢н is disgusting αѕѕ need to be gone from this fandom for the boy's sake.”

While it would be unfair to judge the entire CORTIS fandom based solely on the actions of a few toxic individuals, seeing what this group has been doing to BTS has understandably left many ARMYs angry and frustrated, prompting them to нιт back:

- i don't get it tho. why do cortis fans hate bts? it's not like they r competitors, bts is like a million kpop generations older with completely diff au∂ιєnce. soooo, what's the reason cortis fans r shooting for bts disbandment? honestly curious

- can’t surpαѕѕ bts so you’re teaming up with antis and kpoppies to trend a corny hashtag. pathetic

- What could Cortis achieve if they debuted under a different agency (not BigHit)? ... Cortis was able to succeed because they enjoyed the privilege of being BTS's junior group

- These boys are real talent but there fans will bring them down like enhy fans did. Sometimes I actually feel sorry for them

- BTS disbands tomorrow, hybe falls apart because shareholders exit, investment in cortis drops, cortis falls apart

- Why are u setting Cortis up ? U can say for yourself if u want to join this hashtag. Bcs u know people will start hating on Cortis like it’s them on twitter saying all bs. I wonder if it’s possible for Cortis not to get hate for one month straight for things they didn’t even say

- Know your place, just like your favorites. Without BTS, there wouldn't be them. Although, who knows what might happen to Cortis's career in the coming years?

- every other fandom trying to harm bts why, no one knows.. We Army's have seen many likes of you. But The TRUTH is "BTS has many enemies No one is comparable to them" And BTS will shine brighter than anyone that's a promise
