Fans are well aware that in August this year, BigHit Music debuted CORTIS, a junior group to BTS and TXT, consisting of leader Martin and members James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Geonho. As artists debuting under the same company as globally renowned K-pop acts—especially BTS—combined with their promising talent and distinctive musical style, the group has been recognized as a strong contender for “Rookie of the Year” at major year-end award ceremonies.
Following their successful debut, CORTIS is now expanding into the נαραиese market to boost their profile. The group is actively promoting through performances at Tokyo Dome and appearances on popular radio and music programs such as TBS’s “THE TIME” and Nippon TV’s “Buzz Rhythm 02.”
Kicking off their נαραи promotion schedule, on the 5th, CORTIS held their first solo showcase at Spotify O-WEST in Tokyo, marking their official introduction to local fans. During the showcase, they performed tracks from their debut album “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES” and participated in a talk session to interact with attendees.

The event attracted not only a large number of fans but also many reporters and media outlets, reflecting the high level of attention surrounding the rookie group. Meanwhile, CORTIS expressed their excitement, saying, “We are truly delighted to meet our fans in נαραи for the first time,” and added, “We were thrilled that so many people listened to our music.”
A notable moment came when CORTIS mentioned BTS in their opening remarks, linking their appearance at Spotify O-WEST to the senior group’s history: "Today's venue is where BTS held their נαραи debut showcase. It is meaningful for us to start our journey here as well."
They also shared their aspirations for the future: "Someday, we hope to fill stadiums like BTS and TOMORROW X TOGETHER. We believe today marks our first step. Please continue to watch us grow and support our journey."
This statement by CORTIS quickly spread through fan communities, sparking a big reaction. ARMYs were touched to see BTS’s juniors perform at the same venue where the K-pop superstars had debuted in נαραи 11 years ago. Fans hoped the venue would once again serve as a launchpad for another legendary career, just as it did for BTS, who went on to hold Tokyo Dome concerts with 380,000 fans in attendance.

However, a small group of toxic commenters expressed opposing views, accusing CORTIS of “riding on BTS’s fame” for publicity. Nonetheless, these remarks were quickly drowned out by other fans, who pointed out that BTS themselves have always supported their juniors, whether TXT or CORTIS, since the beginning. ARMYs also reaffirmed that the relationship between BTS and CORTIS is close and respectful—and that true fans celebrate that bond.
The positive fan reactions to CORTIS performing at BTS’s first נαραи debut venue were countless, including:
