BTS’s first concert in Santiago, Chile, is scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 14, as part of their ARIRANG World Tour. After nine years of waiting, local fans are eagerly counting down the hours until they can witness the global superstars return to the stage in this South αмєяι¢αn country.
With just over a dozen hours remaining before the big moment, ARMY’s anticipation has reached its peak. However, υиєχρє¢тє∂ adverse weather conditions have dampened the excitement, leaving fans worried that the concert could be affected.
According to reports on October 13 local time, the Santiago Metropolitan Region experienced prolonged heavy rainfall, thunderstorms accompanied by strong wind gusts, and even hail. Temperatures dropped significantly, while several roads and areas across the city were severely flooded, disrupting traffic.
With the storm нιтting just over a dozen hours before the concert was due to begin, local fans grew increasingly concerned. On social media, they continued discussing the situation: "I'm so worried that the side screens could be blown away", "I’m so worried about the concert. Please tell me it’s not getting canceled, I’ve been waiting for this forever", "My God, may Santiago be safe, peaceful, and calm later, please", "I'm scared of girls! What нσяяιвℓє weather, the concert could be postponed?", "Please weather gods, clear up! We need this concert to happen", "Is everything okay in Santiago?",...
Amid the prolonged heavy rainfall affecting the Santiago Metropolitan Region, Sebastián Sichel, Mayor of the Ñuñoa district, has officially addressed concerns regarding the National Stadium (Estadio Nacional), where BTS’s first concert in Chile is set to take place.
Speaking to news channel 24 Horas, the local official explained that after the heavy rain and the circulation of images showing flooding in certain areas of the stadium grounds, he proactively contacted the event organizer to get an accurate picture of the situation.
According to the mayor, the main stadium area and its access points had not been affected. He emphasized, “The main stadium area has not been affected at any of the entrances or exits, so there have been no changes or irregularities regarding the concert.”

He also clarified that the affected areas were primarily the indoor multi-purpose arena and several outdoor sports fields, explaining that the reported flooding did not mean the concert venue itself had experienced similar problems.
Notably, Mayor Sichel confirmed that all three of BTS’s concerts in Chile remain scheduled as originally planned for October 14, 16, and 17 at Estadio Nacional. However, he stressed that the weather conditions would need to be closely monitored throughout the night.
“The show is proceeding as normal. We need to continue monitoring the weather conditions here tonight,” the local authorities stated, referring to BTS’s scheduled performances at the National Stadium on Wednesday (October 14), Friday (October 16), and Saturday (October 17).
The update has offered fans some relief after hours of uncertainty. Nevertheless, the weather remains a situation worth monitoring, particularly as heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, strong wind gusts, and hail could pose safety risks. As ARMY eagerly awaits the opening night, fans are hoping for favorable weather so BTS can deliver unforgettable performances in Chile.
