The British news media outlet Daily Mail reported on April 24 that a Canadian actor who underwent 12 plastic surgeries to resemble BTS's Jimin had ďïệd in a hospital in South kσrєα.
According to reports, the Canadian actor named Saint Von Colucci (age 22) pαѕѕed away the morning of April 23 at a hospital in South kσrєα due to complications from plastic surgery he received several months earlier.
Eric Blake, the publicist for Saint Von Colucci, told Daily Mail, "He went into surgery on Saturday night to remove implants from his jaw that he had put in in November. The young artist... developed an infection from the implants, and due to complications he had been intubated and ďïệd hours later."
It was revealed that Saint Von Colucci wanted a face similar to that of BTS's Jimin, so he underwent 12 plastic surgeries in the past year. He spent around 220,000 USD on jaw surgery, implant placement, facelift, eyebrow lift, nose surgery, lip reduction, and minor procedures.
Blake stated that Von Colucci knew of the risks of chin implants but wanted to have them done. He explained, "Von Colucci wasn't confident about his appearance. He had a very square jawline and chin, and he didn't like the shape of it because he thought it was too wide and wanted a V-shape, the shape many Asians have."
Saint Von Colucci came to kσrєα in 2019 and became a trainee at one of kσrєα's largest entertainment companies, according to Eric.
Saint Von Colucci is known in kσrєα as a Canadian-Portuguese singer-songwriter. He was set to make his debut through a role as a K-pop idol in a new kσrєαn drama set to air on major streaming platforms in the US starting in October. In the drama, Saint Von Colucci played the role of a rich European exchange student who happens to become a K-pop idol overnight.
Blake added, "Von Colucci was very happy and worked really hard. This is very tragic and unfortunate. He had a very difficult time finding a job in kσrєα. He felt he was discriminated against because of his Western appearance."
The report added that Saint Von Colucci started filming the ḳöŕệän drama “Pretty Lies” in June last year and completed it last December where he played an international student. The drama was set to air on a major US OTT platform in October.
“He was very very excited and worked really hard,” added Blake.
The publicist said Colucci went to South ḳöŕệä in 2019 hoping to enter the music industry. An agency paid for his housing, transportation and living expenses.
Blake said Saint Von Colucci was unhappy with his appearance.
“'He was very insecure about his face. It was very hard from him to get a job in South ḳöŕệä and he felt very discriminated against his Western looks,” he said.
A press release issued by a company named IBG in January 2022 through EIN Presswire stated that Saint Von Colucci was to make his K-pop debut in the summer with his first mini-album "T1K T0K H1GH SCH00L".
The album reportedly had three songs written by the artist himself: "Pretty Lies" (거짓말) , "0PP4" and "I DON`T BLEED.”
It said Saint Von Colucci, who was identified as 23 years old in the press release, was born in Quebec, ċäńäďä, and moved to South ḳöŕệä to become a trainee in an agency.
“He started working in the entertainment industry as early as 2015, making his debut as an actor and commercial model in ċäńäďä. Due to his parents` jobs, he ended up living in many different countries, such as ḅŕäẓïŀ, Portugal, spαín, єиgℓαи∂, resulting in him becoming fluent in five languages, those being English, Portuguese, Spanish, French and ḳöŕệän,” the press release stated.

"No oath-taken medical professional should have allowed themselves to work on him and have him continue destroying and disfiguring himself at the cost of his own life. Why isn't mental state taken into account when clients like these show up at their office? Just look at cases like Jessica Alves, for example. Is all about money, every single time. RIP young man."
"I blame the plastic surgeons for taking his money instead of referring him to psychiatrist. What he needed was a mental help not face fixing. May his soul rest in peace."
"This is very tragic and unfortunate." Seems a bit of an inadequate description I think. What a waste of a young life, all because he didn't like the way he looked? How did he get to have a facelift at the age of 22? That's ridiculous, there can't have been anything to lift, none of his skin would have been sagging at that age.
The worst thing is that he was good looking enough to be an idol trainee in the first place, they don't take anyone with ordinary looks, he didn't need any of it."
"I really like men having square jawline and wide chin. I was surprised that many jäṗäńese and Chinese male actors have wide chin. They look more manly and handsome. It's not that I'm against plastic surgery. In some cases could be necessary but why do it to look like somebody else? That's stupid , and sometimes, dαngєrous. And this guy really did a big mistake. R.I.P"
"If he would have listened to BTS song of love yourself album before, he would have loved himself the way he was!"
"This is so sad .... Loving yourself is important that's what BTS teach us in their songs but ..."
"He should have loved himself instead of wanting to look like another person. It doesn't matter how much you support an idol never cross certain boundaries. Idols do have their own personal lives they are living away from the media. It is sad that he pαѕѕed away so u̾n̾e̾x̾p̾e̾c̾t̾e̾d ̾ly. My condolences to his family and friends."
