BTS's free concert to be held in October seems to be the most controversial event ever in the organization. Many people even hope that BTS and HYBE will cancel this concert because they feel that BTS is being taken advantage of.

Specifically, in July, BTS was selected as the ambassador for the Busan 2030 World Expo. As an ambassador, BTS announced that they would hold a concert on October 15 in Busan to help Busan attract people's attention to EXPO.

According to business and culture officials, it is known that about 7 billion KRW is the cost that needs to be paid to hold BTS' concert at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium. The maximum number of people who can enter the stadium to attend BTS' Busan concert is from 60,000 to 70,000 people. They said that because of the scale and the concert of BTS, the cost of the equipment is very high.

But the curious thing here is who will pay for this huge cost. Many netizens believe that the Busan government will be the one to pay because this is an activity within the framework of Busan EXPO 2030. However, the answer of the Busan government official made netizens surprised and angry.

An official from the Busan government said that because HYBE is the organizer, the related costs will be borne by HYBE. Accordingly, HYBE will pay for the concert by receiving advertisements from other companies. If advertising funding is not feasible, HYBE will have to pay the rest. This also means that BTS and HYBE will have to use their own money to hold concerts.

Recently, HYBE also confirmed the payment of expenses for the Busan concert with Korea Economic Daily, "HYBE and many other companies are participating as official sponsors to participate in the efforts to attract the fair". The names of the participating companies are not disclosed, but some sources say that large corporations such as Samsung, SK, Hyundai, LG, Lotte, CJ, etc. are being attracted to BTS.

However, in case the sponsorship amount is not enough or there is no funding source, BTS and HYBE must bear all costs. This is considered unfair by netizens because BTS has to put in effort to perform and promote while having to spend extra money to hold a concert.
