Recently, Heeseung’s departure from ENHYPEN has become a huge ѕнσ¢к not only to the group’s fan community but also to K-pop fans worldwide. A wave of posts expressing deep ѕнσ¢к over the “bolt-from-the-blue” news quickly spread online, with many ENGENEs even breaking down and crying because they were so caught off guard.
What has left the public confused is that although the idol has left ENHYPEN, he will continue working with the company as a solo artist—soмєтнing that is almost unheard of in K-pop history. At the same time, it is not unusual for idols to pursue solo activities while still being members of a group. On the other hand, ENHYPEN’s exclusive contract has not yet expired.
Looking at these details, many ENHYPEN fans find it hard to accept the reality and believe there may be more behind the situation than the explanation that “this decision was made for the future of ENHYPEN and HEESEUNG,” as announced by Belift Lab. As a result, a wave of fan protests quickly began to grow, starting with a series of protest trucks sent to HYBE’s headquarters in an effort to demand Heeseung’s return.

On social media, some fans began speaking out through hashtags and various messages to push the topic into trending discussions. However, some of these efforts soon spiraled out of control and became controversial. In addition to posting protest messages under posts from ENHYPEN, Belift Lab, or HYBE, some fans began flooding other spaces as well, including those belonging to individuals and artists who were not directly involved in the situation.
For example, on SEVENTEEN’s Weverse community, the Instagram account of BigHit producer EL CAPITXN, the social media accounts of BTS, and even the personal Instagram accounts of TXT members, there were numerous comments and posts from ENHYPEN fans asking these artists to help petition HYBE or persuade Heeseung to return to the group. Others even asked these artists about the “real reason” behind Heeseung’s departure—soмєтнing many found rather absurd.

In particular, after enduring considerable annoyance from a portion of ENHYPEN fans who reacted excessively to the news of Heeseung’s departure, BTS’s producer EL CAPITXN eventually spoke up directly with a blunt response, saying: “Stop sending me stuff about Lee Heeseung, you fing вαѕтαя∂s. He can make his own f*cking decision. If you’re real fans, you should be hugging him before throwing stones. Why do you keep blaming me for everything, you stupid idiot”. He later followed up with a GIF showing someone raising their middle finger.

For those who may not know, since 2017, EL CAPITXN has been credited as a producer affiliated with BigHit Music, contributing to numerous songs by SUGA and BTS, including “We Don’t Talk Together” by Heize, “Interlude: Shadow” by SUGA, “eight” by IU feat. SUGA, Agust D’s mixtape D-2, “My Universe (SUGA’s Remix)” by Coldplay x BTS, “Stay Alive” by Jungkook, “That That” by PSY feat. SUGA, “Take Two” (2023), and “Stay Alive” – Jungkook (OST for the webtoon 7Fates: Chakho), among others.
He and SUGA are also close same-age friends in real life. As the producer once said, “Maybe it was my real dad who raised Jang Yi Jeong, but it was SUGA who raised *Producer* EL CAPITXN.”
Back to the main topic, EL CAPITXN’s candid post quickly caught the attention of ARMYs and netizens. Many questioned why people who were not necessarily related to ENHYPEN’s situation—such as EL CAPITXN, BTS, SEVENTEEN, or TXT—were being treated so harshly.
Some people expressed sympathy for the emotional and impulsive reactions of certain ENHYPEN fans at the moment but warned that it was not an excuse to harαѕѕ innocent individuals. They also urged ENHYPEN fans to reconsider the appropriate timing and context for such protests.
ARMYs show support for EL CAPITXN's latest post and share their views:
- At this point every fandom is done with them. It’s their group issue and they should handle it within themselves, but instead they’re busy invading other artists’ communities to the point that people literally have to ask them to fck off.
- I really empathize with them I really do but this is not it. We are not even from the same company (just same umbrella) and our members are dealing with their own things they do not need to read things like these? They can’t do anything about this. Please respect them too.
- I reiterate, SEVENTEEN's social media accounts are not the place to post about their situation, so in the kindest way possible, after 1 day of non-stop comments and posts, please stop this.
- Elcaptixn crashing out is so funny not gonna lie. They got the entire neighborhood mad. Please stop bothering other artists. That won’t bring Heeseung back
- He literally left the group willingly to focus on solo career and they want to force him back in the group like? The best thing you can do is respect your idol’s decision and stop bothering other artists
- Like we armys actually wanted to help and we did help them signed petition but now we are done with them because they keep spamming in every weverse communities and also dragging our idols by saying it's their fault that their member left the group hope they stop this
- He clocked and they deserved tho. Why did they drag him and other artists into this? Nonsense
