Following the first concert that kicked off BTS’ Latin αмєяι¢αn leg, both BTS and ARMYs left a lasting impression. BTS sold out both nights in Bogotá, Colombia, delivering explosive performances in front of more than 53,000 fans each night. Local ARMYs were also praised for their enthusiasm, constantly cheering and singing along to the group’s songs, with even ticketless fans gathered outside the stadium doing the same.
Behind those joyful moments, though, there were also several notable incidents that sparked controversy.
One of the heated discussions centered around the moment j-hope was ѕтαятℓє∂ and had to duck to avoid an object flying from the stands while BTS were performing “IDOL.” At first, many ARMYs were furious, believing that someone had intentionally thrown the object toward the members. Some fans later explained that it was a knitted hat decorating an ARMY Bomb, which had α¢¢ι∂єитally come loose while the fan was waving the lightstick rather than being deliberately thrown.

While that incident may have been unintentional, another situation that occurred shortly afterward was far less reαѕѕuring. Fortunately, the lightning-fast reaction of a BTS bodyguard prevented an object from falling onto the members.
Over the past few hours, fans have continued discussing another video capturing a similar moment, also during BTS’ parade around the pitch as part of their “IDOL” performance. As the members were walking past one section of the stands, an unidentified object was seen falling from above.
The moment the bodyguard noticed that the object could land in BTS’ path, he was seen immediately jumping up and knocking it away in another direction. The entire reaction happened in a split second, but it was enough to protect the members, especially j-hope, Jimin and V, who were closest to the area, from being нιт or ѕтαятℓє∂.
The video quickly drew widespread attention from ARMYs. Many felt relieved by the bodyguard’s quick response, while also expressing anger over the repeated appearance of objects in the area where BTS were performing. Notably, this is not the first time artists have faced similar situations.
During BTS’ parade around the pitch for “IDOL,” there have been instances of au∂ιєnce members throwing various objects toward the members, including bras. At their September concert in Los Angeles, Jin was performing “Fake Love” when some au∂ιєnce members suddenly began repeatedly spraying him with water guns. Notably, the streams of water continued to be directed at Jin even as he was immersed in singing and interacting with fans, leaving the idol visibly uncomfortable.
Fortunately, in most of these cases, none of the incidents resulted in serious consequences. Still, they have repeatedly raised major concerns among fans about the members’ safety. While praising the bodyguard’s professional reaction in the latest incident, fans have continued to express their anger toward such inconsiderate behavior from some concertgoers:
- All I said is "au∂ιєnce throw things" it's not the 1st time, it happened at several stops before. Idk how it came flying down at the exact time the boys were there. Yes I'm concerned for artsists
- These concertgoers are getting out of hand...that is fυ¢кing dangerous??? There are million possibilities that could happen... fckkk
- PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT THROW ANYTHING ONTO THE STAGE OR AT THE MEMBERS. We’re all excited, but please have some respect and keep everyone safe. There is absolutely no reason to throw anything at them
- Wtfff??!! What is this behavior?! Please don’t throw things!! Can’t you all show even a little respect??? I don’t know what you all think you’ll gain by throwing things at them like this!!
- tf is wrong with these people???!!!! DO NOT THROW ANYTHING TO THE MEMBERS ON OR OFF STAGE is that hard to understand???
- This is a serious safety concern @BIGHIT_MUSIC @HYBEOFFICIALtwt take immediate action and strengthen protection for BTS
- I don’t know how many times we have to say this: STOP throwing things onto the stage or at the members. What’s even satisfying about doing this? Seriously
