BTS Shares the Secret Behind How They Always Find Out About Rumors Surrounding Them First

For fans who have followed BTS for a long time, it is nothing new to see BigHit Music respond within 0.1 seconds to false rumors about BTS. Similarly, the BTS members themselves often react very quickly to certain rumors or make subtle responses to news circulating within the fandom, sometimes almost immediately.

One example came during a live broadcast after all BTS members had completed their mandatory military service. RM directly brought up and answered a popular question that was circulating online at the time: “Many people are asking ‘Why did you guys throw late 2025 away?'"

Another recent example was V’s response when female director Tanu Muino — who worked with BTS on the “Swim” music video — became the target of criticism simply for posting a photo of herself striking her signature pose with the group. After seeing the director delete the post under public pressure, V immediately reposted the exact same photo on his Instagram Story and even tagged Tanu Muino’s account with a message like: “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”

These timely actions from the members have not only surprised fans with how straightforward they can be, but also with how they manage to keep track of public reactions to news related to the group so quickly and accurately. Interestingly, BTS themselves have openly revealed the secret behind their fast responses to news on SNS!

As for RM, he directly explained: “There are ARMYs around me so if soмєтнing happens there are many people who send things to me right away, but since this is a live, I have to be careful with my words. I’m not the type to explain everything because I have many flaws but I still want to talk about what I can, hoping it helps”

When RM shared this, many fans suddenly realized soмєтнing they had forgotten: even if BTS themselves do not frequently update on social media, the people around them certainly do. More than anything, fans admired RM’s perceptiveness as a leader. Why? Because the faster he grasps news, the sooner he can address misinformation or unsettling rumors before they spiral out of control.

As for the other members, it could be similar to RM — they may get updates from people around them, such as friends, family members, managers, or staff... But there is also a good chance that they “lurk” on social media using secret accounts. After all, there is a long history of BTS members such as Jimin, V, and Jungkook stalking group chats, fan accounts, or hot discussion topics on social media.

One such instance came in Jungkook’s documentary I AM STILL, when the idol searched his own name on Twitter on his phone right after his 2023 performance at TSX Times Square. More recently, after discovering a post on X falsely accusing him of pretending to be an anime fan, Jungkook took a screenshot and directly responded to it — but in the process, he also inadvertently “exposed” that he has an anonymous X account and regularly keeps up with what people say about him online.

Back in June this year, V shared a black-and-wнιтe video capturing a moment when he was completely immersed in a stage performance. Notably, the video was not edited by him. The original edit was created and posted on X by an ARMY with the account @tkrse7, who is also a big V fan. Another famous incident from the past was even more hilarious. V once α¢¢ι∂єитally joined an ARMY KakaoTalk group chat at around 3 a.m.

And there are many more examples showing that, despite their busy schedules, BTS clearly still pop up here and there to keep an eye on fan discussions. They know what fans are talking about, which is why fans should never underestimate how much their idols know, even when certain discussions seem to be carefully kept private. To avoid extremely awkward situations, ARMYs often joke that they should be more careful about any theories or topics they discuss!
