BTS Share What They Feel Is No Longer Suitable for Them to Do Like They Used To

Seven years after their last visit to вяαzιℓ, BTS returned to a warm welcome from local fans. In response to this overwhelming love, the group took part in an exclusive interview with CazéTV, sharing many fun moments as well as heartfelt thoughts about their musical journey, personal growth, and what lies ahead for all seven members.

During the conversation, the host posed a thought-provoking question about BTS’s identity as they entered a new chapter: “What do you think you need to preserve as BTS? What needs to be left behind?” RM shared that as the fandom continues to grow and the group becomes known by more people around the world, all seven members want to give back the love they have received everywhere they go.

“I’ve been thinking a lot about how to enter this next chapter in a more mature way. One thing that truly doesn't change is our love for ARMY and our attitude toward performing,” he also shared.

Continuing the discussion, the host brought up another interesting question: “Is there anything you used to do in the beginning that doesn't suit you anymore?” The members then began listing several things!

RM immediately mentioned aegyo (deliberately acting cute), while V brought up their heavy eye makeup from the early days. RM clarified, “Eyeliner underneath, on the waterline,” but the host misunderstood and asked, “Like rock 'n' roll?” The members quickly denied it, before RM laughed and explained, “Here under the eyes, we used to put on really heavy eyeliner.” Jungkook added, “It was a trend at the time!” while V recognized the style, saying, “That eyeliner... it was very much a rock 'n' roll thing.”

Jungkook went on to mention how the group used to dye their hair in bright colors such as pink and red. This made j-hope question the point, gesturing toward his newly blonde hair, but Jungkook was quick to clarify that it was bleached, not dyed. The conversation became even more entertaining when V suddenly suggested that they could try going pink for their next album. RM immediately jumped on the idea, declaring that Jungkook would be the one to go pink next time and adding that the color would suit the youngest member perfectly.

These comments brought back nostalgic memories for ARMY of BTS during their debut years, with heavy eyeliner, vibrant hair colors, and a much bolder image. Many agreed that those makeup styles no longer suit the group's current age and image. Fans also realized how long it had been since the members last experimented with such vivid hair colors. These days, they tend to stick to darker shades, subtle highlights, or bleached hair.

Aegyo, however, sparked a different kind of discussion. Fans did not agree that BTS no longer do aegyo, nor did they accept the idea that acting cute is no longer suitable for idols in their 30s. They pointed out that even when the members are not deliberately trying to act cute, they still have plenty of naturally adorable moments that they may not even notice themselves. Whenever those moments surface, they are more than enough to make ARMY melt and lose their minds.

As this topic began circulating, fans' discussions quickly became lively: "I loved the bright colors though. It reminds me of their youth", "BTS can never move on from their eye makeup they used to do back then and the hair color discussion was even more funnier", "Mind u Namjoon has so much natural aegyo… like u still have that buddy", "AEGYO LMFAO, i wont stand for eyeliner hate", "They think they've outgrown aegyo, but ARMY will never outgrow being weak for their cuteness", "But the colorful hair, aegyo, and eyeliner era was our youth, guys",...
