BTS kicked off the first of three concerts taking place over the weekend at Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona on October 21 (local time), alongside approximately 60,000 fans in Argentina. This performance also marked the group’s first full-member concert in Argentina since their debut, and the fans’ excitement was palpable from the moment the first notes rang out.
The crowd’s enthusiasm was so intense that BTS initially mistook the local tradition of pogo dancing for fans α¢¢ι∂єитally pushing one another in their excitement. The members even paused the concert and repeatedly reminded fans to stay calm. Meanwhile, ARMY in Argentina earned praise from fellow fans for dancing and screaming their hearts out throughout the two-hour show.

Alongside the local ARMY’s enthusiasm, which has been making the rounds on social media, an adorable moment between j-hope and BTS’s interpreter at the concert is also drawing considerable attention!
Specifically, during the ending ment, Jimin thanked the local fans for their enthusiasm and shared a heartfelt message, saying soмєтнing along the lines of: “As Hobi hyung said earlier, being able to see you all again for two more days feels like a dream… But you have to stay safe and make sure no one gets hurt. Enjoy the entire show before heading home.”
As usual, BTS’s male interpreter translated Jimin’s words into Spanish for the Argentine au∂ιєnce. However, what surprised everyone was that he repeated Jimin’s exact phrase, “Hobi hyung,” instead of formally changing it to “j-hope,” as many interpreters have done in the past. Even the interpreter’s tone was remarkably natural and adorable, closely mimicking Jimin’s own delivery.
Jimin calling j-hope “Hobi hyung” is perfectly natural given their close relationship. However, hearing the interpreter preserve this affectionate form of address in front of tens of thousands of fans was genuinely υиєχρє¢тє∂. Both Jimin and j-hope were caught off guard, turning to look at each other before bursting into laughter. Hobi, in particular, seemed a little shy as he heard the interpreter faithfully reproduce Jimin’s original wording and tone.
The moment sent the crowd into excited cheers, while ARMY on social media also flooded the internet with equally enthusiastic reactions:
- Jimin and Hobi's reaction when the translator also repeated Jimin's "Hobi hyung," I held back JSJSJSSJ, they're so cute
- The interpreter said “hobi hyung” and jimin and hobi looked at each other and BURST OUT LAUGHING
- OH MY GOD THIS IS THE CUTEST THING EVER. CRYINGGG MY AEGIS
- Their reaction. It was like 6am for me when this happened and I burst out laughing
- I need a compilation of BTS moments with Spanish interpreters, like, NOW
- The way Hobi got all shy when the translator said “Hobi hyung”. I can’t do this anymore
- The translator really said “Hobi hyung” with his whole chest and Hobi was not ready for it
- Not Jimin and Hobi sharing a look like “Did he really just say that?” The whole moment was too cute
- Hobi getting flustered while Jimin just laughs beside him. These two will always be my weakness
