BTS made a comeback with the full album Proof yesterday and of course, their return is warmly welcomed. The title song Yet To Come with the released MV has touched the hearts of many ARMYs.
In addition to the title track, b-side songs were also noticed. Some songs are from previous albums, some are new songs. And of course, there is a song that makes ARMYs crazy with its swag - RUN BTS.
The songs have been teased by BTS long before the comeback date. In addition to the old songs, ARMY is very excited with 3 new songs on this album.
In particular, RUN BTS previously failed to pass KBS's censorship round to broadcast on Music Bank. So ARMYs were curious as to what this song would be like.
The reason the song was banned is that it contains “lyrics with cussing, vulgar words, and crude language.”. So ARMYs guessed it was a diss rap song and the lyrics would be interesting.
By the time the song was released, ARMYs had realized the obvious culprit: The use of the word “Goddamn” in RM‘s verse. Despite not having many swears, the strict rules are still in place and have lead ARMY to joke about the song being banned for being too real.
Witty lyrics such as “Above the ones who run, above the ones who flies, runs BTS” reference the Korean proverb stating, “Above someone running, there is someone flying.” This means that there is always someone better…and BTS is always one step ahead of even them!
Reflecting on their past from their debut days and their relentless "journey" towards success, BTS boldly declares that their hard work is the key to success.
Not only that, but BTS also mentioned that their bare feet are gasoline. It means that they themselves and their energy have been the fuel for them to run to the destination of success.
j-hope's catchy verse at the end calls out each BTS member, including himself, praising them for their hard work.
Boldly claiming that BTS has much more to offer in the future, the song's ending may remind fans of the same message as the single "Yet to Come", where they have acknowledged their past and are moving on to the future.
Since then, many things have changed. However, one thing that will always remain the same is BTS's constant effort to run as hard as they can!
