Selected as the cover stars for GQ’s Spring Issue (March), BTS took over the covers of 15 regional editions, including South кσяєα, the United States, the United Kingdom, נαραи, мєχι¢σ, Germany, Thailand, ѕραιи, ιтαℓу, ιи∂ια, Taiwan, fяαи¢є, South Africa, Australia, and the Middle East. This marked the first time in history that a кσяєαn artist carried out such a large-scale global cover project across so many countries simultaneously.
In the photos released on the 13th, BTS clearly exuded the aura of global superstars. Notably, the members were surrounded by countless microphones in one frame—a symbolic image representing the world’s expectations and the spotlight focused on their voices. The seven members created flawless visuals that showcased both their natural team chemistry and each individual’s distinct personality.
GQ Magazine described the moment: “Now, the world’s biggest group reunites with their fifth full-length album and a mαѕѕive world tour, providing a definitive answer to whether they are stronger alone or together.”

The article further added: “Living together as roommates once again, BTS found themselves unintentionally simulating their pre-superstar lives, echoing their days as trainees at Big Hit Entertainment (now HYBE Corporation). They returned to a time when they would sacrifice everything just for a chance to debut.”
Meanwhile, in the interview, the members opened up about their reunion after completing military service, stating: “We all treasure BTS more than we treasure each one of us separately. We debuted as a group, so I think that’s the core identity that we have.” They continued: “It’s hard to measure the amount of love ARMY gives us. BTS and ARMY have a mutually influential relationship. Whenever we feel that, we think deeply about the message we should deliver. We want to bring positive influence.”

Immediately after GQ published the interview, these heartfelt statements went viral across social media, serving as a direct rebuttal to those who had been speculating about tensions between the members after a decade together. Their affirmation that the group is their “identity” and that they value the group over individual pursuits once again demonstrated the extraordinary level of unity within BTS.
Even fellow artists like Coldplay’s Chris Martin reacted after reading their words, saying: “I was really happy that it seemed like they had each other’s backs. They're very tight, personally, and they intertwine well. They don’t tread on each other’s toes too much. There's distinct roles…. The love between them is real. That was the most striking thing—love in a very intense situation.”

This is also not the first time BTS have spoken about their strong bond. SUGA once said: “They’re the people I’ve spent the most time with and met the most in my 30 years of life. We’ve really become a family. There’s no other word to describe our relationship. We are family.” RM also stated: “It’s like the seven of us are on the same boat, just looking in different directions, but going the same way. That’s how I describe BTS.”
On the other hand, beyond the strong bond among the members, their use of the phrase “mutually influential relationship” when referring to their fans deeply touched millions of ARMYs. This also indirectly highlighted that ARMY is a crucial factor in maintaining BTS’s unity. BTS x ARMY is no longer a typical idol–fan relationship, but rather a profound, multifaceted connection.
With these statements, BTS dispelled all doubts about the group’s future, leading fans to celebrate even more as they look forward to the comeback on March 20:
- When Chris Martin recognizes their bond, you know it’s real. BTS is 7
- Chris Martin capturing BTS’s essence perfectly! Tight-knit, supportive, and full of love—teamwork that’s as iconic as their music.
- Like literally I can’t wait to see how the guys balance solo and group work, albums, tours, etc for YEARS to come. It’s going to be a masterclαѕѕ in time management and planning
- No one loves BTS more than BTS themselves. A loyal group deserving a sincere accolade
- They will keep repeating it over and over, they are and always will be a package deal. BTS ARE SEVEN. YOU CANNOT SEPARATE THEM.
- I hope armys also learn to have said balanced view, and stop screaming BTS is 7 like their individuality isn't important too!
- when youre in a yearning-for-a-BTS-reunion competition and your competition is BTS
- BTS didn’t just release music, they healed many broken hearts and souls. these moments made armys realize it was never one sided, the love was always mutual. they are our everything and we are their everything.
- There will never be another BTS and it’s not a statement of pride, it’s a fact. What they built came from years of resilience, sincerity and belief when the world gave them none. Seven men who carried each other through every failure, who stayed grounded when success finally came
- They are each other’s biggest fan. They all look up to each other, learn from each other and inspire each other. When there is harmony and balance there is happiness and peace. BTS is for forever.
