BTS Members Show Off Gifts From “Boss j-hope“ at Argentina Concert Day 1

On October 21 (local time), BTS kicked off the first show of their ARIRANG World Tour at Estadio Único Diego Armando Maradona in La Plata, Argentina. It marked the first time all seven members had performed together at a full-group concert in Argentina since their debut in 2013. Local news outlet Infobae reported that “BTS made history in Argentina,” describing the event as “a 13-year wait.”

One of the night's highlights was the performance of “Come Over.” According to Infobae, V and four other members appeared in Argentina national team jerseys bearing Lionel Messi’s iconic number 10, while Jimin and Jin wore outfits inspired by the colors of the country’s flag. The members also paid tribute to the Argentine football legend by recreating Messi’s signature celebration, pointing both index fingers toward the sky.

Beyond the number 10 jerseys featured in their final performance outfits, fans also noticed another special detail worn by several members, particularly RM, SUGA, and j-hope: the Nike Air Force 1 ’01 “Burnt Sunrise” sneakers from the newly released collaboration between j-hope, NIGO, and Nike.

The sneakers feature glossy leather uppers in a Burnt Sunrise hue, complemented by Metallic Gold and Chlorine Blue accents, braided laces, and an embroidered squirrel motif—a signature symbol αѕѕociated with j-hope. The shoes were released exclusively through Human Made on October 17, ahead of their global launch on SNKRS on October 22 at a retail price of around $150. They sold out almost immediately.

Fans took the members wearing these sneakers as a sign that j-hope had gifted his collaborative design to his fellow BTS members. More than just an interesting fashion detail, it also highlighted the close bond between the members and how they consistently support one another’s individual endeavors.

The gesture becomes even more meaningful considering that, in an interview not long ago while promoting the collaboration, j-hope shared that the sneakers held such special significance for him that they were “hard to express in words.” He also chose his BTS members as the first people he wanted to share his new design with because they were the ones “who have always been with me in my growth process.” And he truly followed through on that intention.

This was not the first time j-hope had gifted collaborative products to his bandmates. When he launched his first collection with Human Made, he also gave items to the members, and ARMY later spotted them wearing those designs.

Fans jokingly pointed out that this is one of the biggest perks of a brand collaborating with a BTS member: the products are not only promoted by the artist himself but can also attract even more attention when his fellow members wear them.

Beyond BTS, j-hope is also said to have gifted these sneakers to other people close to him, including his parents, his older sister Jiwoo and brother-in-law, as well as friends in the entertainment industry such as EXO’s Suho and actor-singer Yim Si-wan.

Fans couldn’t help but enjoy watching “Boss j-hope” hand out gifts to the people around him, especially his BTS members, commenting:

- Don’t you just love seeing the members supporting each other? My OT7 forever

- Tomorrow will be the vocal lines turn I see. This is one of the things I love most about the members, they always support each other.

- You just know he gifted all 6 of them with Burnt Sunrise and Namjoon - Yoongi can't wait to show it off

- Everyone remotely acquainted with Hobi has been wearing them so it only makes sense that his besties would as well

- Best Marketer Hobi's next IG Story is definitely another shoe  promotion. Now rapline wearing his Burnt Sunrise Nike Air Force. Oh, who will tell BH trainee Hoseok one day he be gifting his 6 brothers a Nike with J-HOPE AIR embroidered on it ?

- Imagine being a BTS member and getting exclusive sneakers straight from the man himself before everyone else. The ultimate VIP treatment

- The fact that he wanted BTS to be the first to receive his design makes this even more meaningful. He’ll always be proud to share his achievements with his brothers

- This is the sweetest kind of support! Hobi works hard on his own projects, then makes sure the people he loves get to be part of the journey

- The best marketing strategy ever: collaborate with Hobi, and suddenly seven members might be wearing your brand
