BTS Members Mention The Reason Behind SUGA's Leg Pain And ARMYs Are Relieved It's Not Concert-related

Recently, several videos from BTS’s concert quickly spread across social media, with fans noticing that SUGA appeared to be experiencing leg pain. In particular, during the performance of “DOPE,” the rapper was seen limping slightly as he moved toward the extended stage. However, despite the obvious signs of discomfort, he still hyped up the crowd enthusiastically and flawlessly delivered his high-energy rap part.

One fan account shared an emotional message: “You can see him limping a bit here as he approaches ARMYs, then he stopped to rap his verse and hype up the crowd. Yoongi always gives his best no matter what. Hope he gets better soon. Please stay safe and healthy, Yoongi.”

These videos quickly made fans around the world worry about his condition. On top of that, some clips recorded a few days earlier also seemed to show signs that SUGA’s shoulder was hurting or strained. Since BTS has gone through an extremely packed performance schedule over the past two months, many people began wondering whether these aches and pains were the result of continuous rehearsals and performances.

Fortunately, during the livestream after the third concert night in Stanford, the members finally directly clarified the reason behind SUGA’s leg pain — and it had absolutely nothing to do with the concert itself.

Everything started when j-hope read a fan comment asking, “What happened to Yoongi hyung’s leg, why was he limping?” Immediately, Jimin and RM looked at each other hesitantly and repeatedly asked, “Ahh that, shall I say it?”, “Should we not?”, “We can’t?” At the same time, RM reαѕѕured fans by saying, “I mean it wasn’t anything bad?” while Jimin adorably complained, “That hyung, so uh, see this is why I told him not to go!”

The group then revealed that SUGA has recently been working out extremely hard, especially running. RM explained, “Our Yoongi hyung worked so hard on his running,” while V confirmed, “Yeah, he’s really into it these days.” Jimin described him by saying, “You know how he is—once he gets into soмєтнing, he just goes all out.” Meanwhile, j-hope added, “He really does. Out of nowhere, he was like, ‘I think I need to lose some weight.’ So he started ∂ιєting a lot and exercising. He was running so much. When we were working out, he was always there.” V also added, “He was doing bench presses with 10kg, 10kg, and it looked so light for him.”

Most notably, the highlight of this fitness journey — and also the direct reason why his leg hurt during the second concert night — was that SUGA had participated in a local marathon that very same morning. j-hope recalled, “On the day of the concert, in the morning, he woke up at 6:00 AM. Apparently, there was a really famous marathon happening around that area. So he went to do it, and it was over 10km…” But RM immediately corrected him: “It was 12km.”

Then, V jokingly concluded, “Yoongi hyung shows off a lot…” and RM seemed to agree, saying, “He worked hard!” j-hope then enthusiastically spoiled another interesting detail: “Plus he filmed a vlog of it!” — but immediately realized he had revealed far too much, causing everyone to burst into laughter. RM quickly tried to save the situation by admitting, “We spoiled all of it,” while j-hope added, “Anyways our thumbnail is Yoongi hyung too.” Meanwhile, V called out to the other three members, “Okay, everyone together, I’M SORRY FOR MY FAULT,” and they actually bowed their heads apologetically for spoiling everything.

After the livestream, fans quickly rediscovered a video from a few days earlier in which SUGA α¢¢ι∂єитally appeared in the background while running outdoors. The rapper was dressed entirely in black sportswear with a baseball cap, occasionally glancing down at the sports watch on his wrist. Beside him was another man who appeared to be his manager running alongside him.

Another interesting detail was that fans later discovered the marathon SUGA joined was Bay to Breakers — one of the most famous and culturally iconic street races in San Francisco. The event is well known for its lively and chaotic atmosphere, where participants often wear bizarre costumes, run in themed groups, and essentially turn the race into a giant “running festival.”

At this point, fans were both amused and exasperated upon learning that the reason behind SUGA’s leg pain was simply… that he had been training and running marathons too intensely. At the same time, they could not help but admire his incredible energy and impressive self-discipline. Many fans commented:

- For people that don’t know BAY TO BREAKERS, everyone dresses up, drinks, and run….Yoongi def didn’t know what he signed up for but I’m sure had the time of his life

- Never on a dull day when you stan Bangtan Sonyeondan, a marathon? Yoongi? On a concert day? I must say I'm impressed we don't hear a thing about this, kudos armys who saw Yoongi but keep it quiet?

- Goodness!! 12km marathon on the same day of a concert!! Yoongi’s physical and mental abilities are so strong and impressive!! He’s fooling everyone with his delicate features and in real, dude is a hulk in disguise

- The way we were all worried about overworking injuries but it turns out he was just being a marathon runner in secret

- Oh that's why he was limping. Looks like yoongi preparing for wrestling after watching in мєχι¢σ

- Oh my god.. Yoongi heading out for a marathon on the day of the performance! So proud of him he is amazing

- The way i knew about the marathon happening this weekend, but i never thought Yoongi would be running there

- Thank goodness it’s not related to his performances or old injuries. My stress level dropped immediately after hearing the explanation

- Don’t worry everyone. Yoongi just over exerted himself at a marathon. That’s why he was limping at the concert

- I’m honestly so relieved it was just soreness from running and not an injury from the concerts. Please take care of yourself, Yoongi
