Over the years, countless people, from ordinary girls to international superstars, have chosen BTS as their ideal type. The members are admired for their looks, talent, and personalities, not to mention their successful careers and enormous wealth. Surely, any girl who managed to win the heart of one of these K-pop superstars would be the happiest person in the world.
So, what do the BTS members think about choosing one of their fellow members to introduce to their younger sister, if they had one?
During their early debut years, when they were asked this hypothetical question in interviews, most of the members hesitated and declined to give an answer. Jin and SUGA even shared the same opinion, saying they would not introduce any of their fellow members to their sisters. SUGA bluntly laughed and said, “There’s no way I’d introduce my younger sister to them!” His remark had everyone bursting into laughter.

Interestingly, V was the only member who gave a definite answer at the time, choosing j-hope. The reason was j-hope’s thoughtful care and attention toward the other members. j-hope was also a wonderful source of positive energy for both BTS and ARMY, leading V to believe that he would always make his younger sister happy every day.

However, the answers to this question have changed over time! In later years, V changed his choice, while the other BTS members became more confident in naming the member they would choose.
During a more recent interview, when they were once again asked, “If you had a younger sister, which member would you introduce her to?”, Jimin emerged as the clear favorite among his fellow BTS members. Six out of seven members chose him, while Jimin himself—the ideal future brother-in-law in the eyes of his bandmates—picked Jungkook as the member he would introduce to his younger sister if he had one, without giving a specific reason.

The BTS members each had their own reasons for choosing Jimin. Jin explained, "Even if my younger sister gets angry, Jimin will sweetly smile and take it well".” Meanwhile, SUGA stated, "His personality is pure and not artificial, so he would treat my younger sister really well"
j-hope believed that "Jimin is very considerate of others", while RM added, "It's hard to explain exactly why, but he just seems like he will treat a person really well". Jungkook concluded, "On a normal basis, he is really good to people. Because of this, I think he would also be really good to his girlfriend".
As for V, he chose his fellow 1995-born member because Jimin is incredibly innocent and kind-hearted, always showing concern for others. With this personality, V believes Jimin would make any girl he loved feel warm and cared for in their relationship. On the other hand, V also thought this could sometimes be one of Jimin’s weaknesses, as he is almost too kind. It could lead Jimin to hurt himself emotionally or make it difficult for him to navigate a relationship with someone he cares about deeply.

Even more interestingly, this still might not have been V’s final answer, especially considering that he actually has a younger sister in real life. When Jin jokingly asked V once again whether he really wanted to introduce his sister to Jimin, V bluntly answered, “No.” His response left the other members surprised and laughing!
Ultimately, it seems that the BTS members are rather reluctant to become one another’s brothers-in-law. Still, this is understandable. No matter how close they are, navigating relationships with one another in a family context might not always be easy.
Nevertheless, the fact that most BTS members agreed Jimin would make an ideal boyfriend says a lot about just how wonderful he is. With such glowing endorsements from his own bandmates, it seems Jimin’s list of female admirers is only going to keep growing!
