BTS Members' Car Swarmed and Harassed by Mob, Sparking Widespread Anger

On Thursday, RM took to the fan community platform Weverse to call on the crowds in Lima to stop gathering outside the group’s hotel. Shortly afterward, Lima Mayor Renzo Reggiardo also requested that the Peruvian National Police strengthen security around the hotel where BTS were staying.

Despite RM’s plea and the local authorities’ tightened security measures, the harαѕѕment around BTS’ hotel continued.

On the evening of October 8 (local time), crowds took advantage of a drone show held near the hotel to gather in the area, repeatedly screaming and creating deafening noise along the street, even after the event had ended. More alarmingly, some people even shone laser beams into rooms they believed were occupied by BTS members.

But that was not even the worst part! Several ARMY accounts recently shared video clips taken from footage circulating on social media, showing vehicles believed to be carrying BTS members or their staff being stopped by crowds right outside the hotel.

The nighttime footage shows large crowds surrounding wнιтe cars and black vans, holding up their phones to record, screaming, and calling out the members’ names. Some people even demanded that those inside roll down their windows, while the sheer size and commotion of the crowds disrupted traffic in the surrounding area. Even when traffic ρσℓι¢є and security personnel blew their whistles and instructed people to disperse, many appeared to ignore the directions, continuing to film and scream.

According to speculation circulating online, the incident may have occurred around the time some members, believed to be RM and Jungkook, left the hotel to explore the city and when they returned. Just a few hours ago, both RM and Jungkook shared photos from their sightseeing trip. The pictures featured a dreamy sunset in Miraflores, the breathtaking natural scenery of the Pantanos de Villa Wildlife Refuge, and the peaceful coastline of Agua Dulce Beach in the Chorrillos district.

Initially, fans around the world were thrilled to see the members getting the chance to explore Lima and enjoy some time outside their performance schedule. However, as videos showing their vehicles being surrounded and obstructed by crowds emerged, that excitement quickly gave way to worry and outrage. Blocking vehicles, demanding that artists roll down their windows, and ignoring instructions from security personnel went far beyond the boundaries of an ordinary invasion of privacy. Fans left furious comments beneath the videos:

- Just ruining the boys' experience of beautiful Peru and the lovely ARMY who actually love and respect them. This is just sad...I have nothing else to say

- They should just roll down their windows and show middle fingers at these crazy hags...This is pathetic. Why do people there acting like that?

- Omg that's so serious. What's wrong with them. How can they demand them to do sh1ts. If I were BTS, I will cancel this tour and leave

- Tis is so anxiety inducing. i can’t begin to imagine how fcking terrifying it was to be in those cars. To have hundreds of strangers surrounding ur car in a stand still. That’s h3llish

- They're treating them like zoo animals.. It's genuinely concerning at this point I feel sorry for the tannies, they haven't had proper sleep or a moment of actual peace for 2days and knowing them, they'll probably still try their best to give a nice performance despite everything

- The worst country they've ever stepped into.. i've never seen this kind of insanity in the past few years. cancel the tour in peru now :/

- Ohmyfυ¢кinggod!! Are they for fking real?!?? They must've had a flight to catch! If I was in their place I'd have been тєяяιfιє∂ & creeped out! I wouldn't EVER want to have a concert there again either! I wonder if they even got to sleep while they were there...

- Pleaseee, don't wait outside the members' hotel. Please respect the members' privacy. Gathering and crowding outside their hotel, disturbs other hotel guests and disrupts traffic. Remember, Bangtan aren't the only ones staying there

- Atp they should just leave and never come  back. Just incredibly dangerous and disrespectful
