BTS, who have recently reunited as a full group following a hiatus due to mandatory military service, unveiled a “BTS WORLD TOUR” poster on Weverse at midnight on January 14, officially announcing their upcoming world tour. Kicking off at Goyang Stadium in South кσяєα this April, BTS will meet fans across 79 shows in 34 cities throughout North αмєяι¢α, Europe, South αмєяι¢α, and Asia.
Notably, BTS have become the second artist in the world, following legendary band Coldplay, to hold a concert at Stanford Stadium. They are also the first кσяєαn act to perform at venues such as AT&T Stadium in Arlington—the largest domed stadium in the world by capacity—and M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
When the total number of shows was revealed, it far exceeded the previous estimates of 60–65 concerts projected by market analysts, making this tour the record-holder for the highest number of shows in a single tour by a K-pop artist. The scale is expected to expand even further, with additional dates in נαραи and the Middle East reportedly set to be announced in the near future.

Industry observers have described the schedule as “beyond expectations,” while major global media outlets such as Forbes, NME, and Billboard have noted that fan anticipation and BTS’s long-standing legacy place this tour among the most significant in recent music history.
What comes as an even greater surprise is that the substantial expansion of the tour—spanning from April this year through spring 2027—was personally requested by the BTS members themselves. During a full-group livestream on the afternoon of January 16, the members shared this behind-the-scenes detail directly with fans, sparking widespread surprise.
Specifically, after explaining why the group chose ARIRANG as the title of their fifth studio album and revealing that Jungkook designed the album’s logo, the conversation shifted to the world tour scheduled to follow the album’s release in March. j-hope υиєχρє¢тє∂ly revealed, “We asked our agency to add more venues and cities,” expressing the group’s desire to meet and perform for as many ARMYs as possible after nearly four years.
More importantly, beyond requesting additional tour stops, the members also asked for real breaks in between so they can maintain the highest possible quality for each performance. These decisions clearly demonstrate that BTS are prioritizing the fan experience above all else. The group understands that every moment on stage is priceless, and that fans around the world have been waiting a very long time for this reunion.

BTS’s remarks reflect the group’s maturity in mindset: they are no longer rookies pushing themselves to exhaustion, but seasoned artists who know how to manage their energy to deliver long-term, sustainable value. Their stance also raises an important issue within the industry—that artists themselves should have a decisive voice in shaping their own activities.
Fans have expressed full support for the members’ decision, while also conveying deep gratitude that BTS listened to the heartfelt calls from ARMYs around the world, who have long hoped to see the group perform in their respective countries:
- a tour to show every army high quality performances while also being healthy & safe. thank u my tannies for being healthy for always pouring ur heart out in every performance
- Which means they also will not add anymore dates for this year but only for 2027! Manifesting italy and turkiye
- A good slap in the face to everyone who says that HYBE added so many dates just to take advantage of them
- I'm so relieved when they mentioned that. The tours looks exhausting but if we really check the dates, they have gaps in between for breaks. It makes sense if they'll tour for years same with TS or Coldplay.
- I love them. Nothing matters to me more than them being able to enjoy themselves and maintain excellent physical and mental health at every stop of this great tour they are preparing. It’s a gift that they thought of going to more places to meet as many ARMYs as possible. They love us so much
- So much respect for these guys. Not easy to have such a big tour with that many shows. It’s gonna be amazing
- I really wish for their stable health overall the tour, the tour is mαѕѕive and they they are doing their best to meet as much Armys they can.
- Ofc they did!! I just hope the agency listens this wish, please. More places need to be added!
- They are literally the sweetest and make so much efforts for us
- The love and dedication bts gave for armys is out of the world!! With a year long tour and so many shows I thought they would be overwhelmed, but here they are, working hard straight out of military and meeting armys from every where possible. Ain't nobody loving as them
