Even BTS itself is already a top brand in the world. So it's not hard to see that other global brands want a big deal between themselves and BTS.
Over the past 10 years, BTS has been the representative of not many brands. However, only the top 5 brands in the world below have shown the great influence of BTS. They are 5 of the top 10 brands in the world!
1. Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola is ranked the #6 brand in the world and the got the deal with BTS in 2018.
After ARMYs continually requested, soda company Coca-Cola finally made BTS models for its Russia FIFA World Cup 2018 campaign. Since then, the group has appeared in commercials and even on soda cans and bottles. And of course, the amount of coca consumed around the world increased dramatically soon after.
2. Disney
Korean media reported that HYBE signed a multi-year deal with The Walt Disney Company APAC (Asia Pacific region). The first manifestation of this big deal is V‘s “Wooga Squad” in the reality show In the SOOP: Friendcation was on Disney Plus. Moreover, BTS’s PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA concert, and new docuseries BTS MONUMENTS: BEYOND THE STAR are also on streaming service Disney+.
In the future, BTS will have many activities with the 7th brand in the world such as: dubbing Disney movies on Run BTS, making surprise appearance at the Oscars and talks about Pixar/ Disney movies and even maybe releasing an original song in a Disney movie,...
3. Samsung
For many years, the 8th brand in the world - Samsung has been one of the biggest partnerships of all for BTS.
From 2020, BTS has been announced as Brand Ambassadors for the tech company in 2020, the members have appeared in many commercials and photos advertising Samsung.
Specificially, Samsung even made a BTS Edition for the Samsung Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy Buds+. This made ARMYs all over the world crazy!
Last year, SUGA produced a remix of the iconic trademarked sound for Samsung Galaxy smartphones, “Over the Horizon". BTS have even partnered for a global environmental campaign, Galaxy for the Planet.
4. Louis Vuitton
LV is the world's first leading luxury fashion brand to work with BTS. Last year, the big deal between BTS and them made the world shake.
Shortly after, BTS modeled seven designs from the Men’s Fall-Winter 2021 collection by the late Artistic Director Virgil Abloh in a short film by Korean director Jeon Go Woon. The Director proudly said about BTS: "Seoul has such unique energy and BTS embody this vibe completely. They add their spin to the collection, make it their own and take it to new heights".
5. McDonald’s
McDonald’s is ranked 10th brand in the world but is the top fast food chain. The deal between them and BTS didn't keep for a long time but the popularity and finance effect are so huge.
Last summer, BTS and McDonald’s teamed up to create “The BTS Meal” as part of the restaurant’s Famous Orders initiative. Although the packaging varied by location, each meal consisted of a medium Coca-Cola, medium fries, and McNuggets with Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces.
Honorable mention: Google
Last but not least, technically, BTS and Google have not announced an official partnership. Yet, to celebrate the fandom’s 9th birthday this year, they collaborated on a couple of fun features for the site.
If you searched “BTS” in the search engine, you would be met with a surprise of purple balloons! If you popped them, you got an extra sweet surprise of members’ voice messages.
Additionally, there is a collaboration between BTS and Google Arts & Culture Lab specifically. It allows you to tour some iconic locations from BTS history and members’ selected art pieces.
It's worth mentioning here is that Google is the #2 brand in the world!
