On the 5th of this month, Netflix released the poster and teaser trailer for BTS’s live comeback performance titled “BTS Comeback Live: ARIRANG.” With just over a minute of preview footage, the video quickly climbed to the top of discussion trends, sending social media into an explosion of anticipation and emotion.
The video opens with the roaring cheers of the ARMY fandom, accompanied by the members’ heartfelt message to fans: “So emotional", "I really miss them", "Let's get back out there". Leader RM narrates, "We promised our fans that we'd be back" followed by powerful visuals of the members appearing against the radiant backdrop of Gyeongbokgung Palace at the intersection of day and night.
The video also features bold captions declaring, "THE WORLD'S BIGGEST BAND IS BACK" and "WITNESS THE HOMECOMING". The members express their hopes and determination for the new journey through their remarks: “I felt that each and everyone of us was evolving in some way" and "Seven together, we can do anything. Keep swimming".
The poster released simultaneously reveals the silhouettes of all seven members standing before Gwanghwamun Square.
The appearance of all seven members, along with the messages signaling BTS’s complete return after three years of hiatus, left fans both covered in goosebumps and deeply moved. The moment a group is able to resume activities with its full lineup and original operational status after a hiatus is almost unprecedented in the history of K-pop, and even in the global music industry.
