Issues related to military service and when BTS will return after enlistment are always the top topics of public concern. While fans expect BTS to reunite in 2025 because the members will return in full by the middle of next year, it seems that HYBE is not "sure".

The Kpop world has witnessed many groups losing their aura or disbanding after members enlisted. Even if idols enlist early and return at a young age, there is no certainty that they will continue their careers after a period of hiatus due to military service.

In particular, for top Kpop superstars like BTS, the interruption of military service has a great impact on them. It is also the reason why BTS's career after discharge has become a hot topic for many years. Therefore, in HYBE's recent Q3 meeting, the question of BTS's comeback after discharge next year was raised. Responding to this, HYBE's CFO Lee Kyung Joon said, "Also, you asked what our sales share would be if BTS were to be active as a full group, but we are still discussing with the members about activities for 2026, so no projections have been made right now". His answer quickly caused a stir among netizens and fans.

The members will complete their mandatory military service in June 2025 and can resume activities immediately. However, HYBE’s statement shows that they have no plans for the group’s activities or even can’t be sure about the group’s lineup. - That's mean BTS comeback isn't garanty and other members already sign with hybe .

- This more or less confirms it was more of a contract extension to cover their MS time rather than contract renewal. I hope the boys make the best decision focusing on THEIR choice and their growth.
