After conquering MetLife Stadium just two weeks after their historic performance at the World Cup Halftime Show in early August, which drew more than 150,000 fans in attendance, BTS arrived in Foxborough to continue the North αмєяι¢αn leg of their tour with two nights at Gillette Stadium. The group also officially made history as the first K-pop artist to headline and hold a solo concert at the iconic stadium in Mαѕѕachusetts. From the very first round of ticket sales, all tickets for both shows quickly sold out.
On the day of the concert, crowds of fans from across the United States and around the world flocked to Foxborough hours before the gates opened. The area outside Gillette Stadium quickly turned into an "ARMY festival," with thousands of fans dressed in outfits inspired by the ARIRANG theme, wearing BTS' signature purple, holding ARMY Bombs, and eagerly taking photos and mingling before the show. With approximately 64,000 attendees per night at Gillette Stadium, the total attendance for the BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG' officially surpαѕѕed 1.7 million.
In particular, at the home stadium of the New єиgℓαи∂ Patriots, fans attending the concert in person were able to experience soмєтнing special during BTS' pre-show soundcheck for the first time. As BTS' Day 1 soundcheck began, a series of posts on X quickly went viral under the same intriguing topic: "watching free soundcheck from outside the stadium," with local ARMYs excitedly sharing a spot where people could see inside Gillette Stadium. One fan explained that after walking past the restaurants on the left side of the stadium, there is a large staircase where people can look directly toward the stage. Another fan also described it, saying, "They have a huge entrance for floor that was only gated rather than covered by curtains."
It appears that the entrance to the floor section was only blocked by gates instead of being completely covered with curtains like at many previous venues, unintentionally leaving an opening large enough for people outside the stadium to see part of the stage. At most previous stadiums, the stage area had been completely enclosed with large black dяαρєs, making it impossible for anyone without a soundcheck ticket to see inside. This seems to be the first time throughout the entire tour that fans without official soundcheck tickets have still had the opportunity to watch part of BTS' rehearsal from outside the stadium.
From that location, many ARMYs said they were able to see BTS rehearsing, catch a partial view of the stage, and witness the atmosphere inside the soundcheck area. Although the view was not completely unobstructed and only offered a partial look at the stage, it was still considered a special experience for fans who did not purchase official soundcheck tickets, leaving them incredibly excited and pushing the anticipation outside the stadium to its peak.
After videos and photos spread widely across social media, many ARMYs quickly began sharing tips for those attending the second night in Foxborough. Fans hoping to catch this special moment were advised to arrive early, before around 5:00 PM (EDT), when the soundcheck begins. They also noted that BTS' soundcheck lasts only about 15 minutes, so visitors should make the most of the short window to avoid мιѕѕιиg this rare experience.
