The global rise of BTS in general and Jimin in particular has also led to quite a few people trying to capitalize on their names to attract attention on social media. Among them, one of the most notorious names is Pachi Jimin, known through accounts such as Pachi.chim and Konkonhead. Although he has always openly identified himself as a fan of BTS and Jimin, this individual has repeatedly become the center of controversy and sparked outrage within the fandom for years because of the way he has gained attention.
He mainly creates content on Instagram, Reels, and TikTok by imitating Jimin’s appearance, fashion style, hairstyles, and signature dance moves in a “humorous” way. In his profile bio, he also uses the term “짭지민” (Jap-Jimin), meaning “fake Jimin” or “Jimin knockoff.” However, ARMY have repeatedly felt that his content goes beyond simply imitating Jimin and instead turns the idol into a subject of ridicule, potentially damaging his image and reputation.
On top of that, Pachi has continuously used Jimin’s image and name to attract attention, naturally accompanied by booking deals involving substantial fees. This has led to accusations that Pachi.chim is seeking fame and financial benefits by capitalizing on the idol’s popularity. Most notably, he recently appeared at an official ARIH event for the launch of the brand’s collaboration with BTS.

His appearance not only sparked a wave of backlash against ARIH from netizens, but also prompted ARMY to mαѕѕ-report Pachi to BIGHIT MUSIC/HYBE, calling on the company to take legal action. Finally, the outcome became visible nearly a month after the incident!
On the 19th, several major BTS fan accounts reported that Pachi had received a legal notice from BIGHIT MUSIC. The information was reportedly taken from a story posted by Pachi himself, in which he announced that he would temporarily suspend his activities while dealing with a legal matter involving BIGHIT MUSIC.
In the statement, Pachi wrote: “We have received an official communication from BIGHIT MUSIC regarding activities under the name Pachi Jimin and are currently reviewing the matter". He also announced that Pachi Jimin activities would be temporarily suspended “until further clarification,” adding that another update would be provided regarding his future activities. Then, he ended the statement by: "Thank you to everyone who has always supported us.”

Many people were pleased that BIGHIT MUSIC had seemingly finally taken action against a controversial figure who had remained a source of controversy for years. At the same time, quite a few fans were also frustrated by the way Pachi responded to the situation.
Pachi must surely have been aware of the controversy surrounding him after his appearance at ARIH, as well as why BIGHIT MUSIC’s legal action was directed at him — allegedly over copying, exploiting Jimin’s name and damaging the idol’s image. Yet Pachi simply described it as an issue concerning activities “under the name Pachi Jimin” and said that he was “reviewing the matter.” The statement even ended with a thank-you message to those who had continued to support him.
This wording led many ARMY to feel that Pachi was making a serious issue look like an incident or misunderstanding, almost as if it had no significant impact on him. In particular, those who have criticized his use of Jimin’s image, name, and style felt that his response showed no sign of taking responsibility.

Given the situation, many people expressed hope that the company would handle the matter thoroughly to protect Jimin’s personal interests and individual brand, while ensuring that the alleged violator receives appropriate consequences:
- I hope they will include slapping of his ugly face as one of the punishment for his crime
- I hope he never comes back. BH should nail this dude along ago. Unattractive imposter that he is
- I certainly think it's becz of the Arih noodles brand which allowed pachi to promote..after the backlash and decline in the sales they took this step
- That's good to know..that guy was soliciting during the Fifa Auction..such a thick face guys
- What blows my mind is that there are actually idiots worried this ριє¢є σf ѕнιт's activities will get restricted over this. Please, just mosaic out his entire face. I hate him so much I can't even stand looking at his face…..
- Good riddance. I really hope they also take strong legal action against the vile antis targeting him on X
- Hes been copying jimin since like 2020 idk where bigнιт was all these years. This time, please put an end to this shameless behavior
- This stupidity has been going on for years and they're only realizing it now. How can anyone be this incompetent
