V's pet dog Yeontan is a well-known figure in the BTS fandom. ARMYs have been completely moved by the immense love V has shown for his pet dog since he first introduced him in 2017.

Not only does V frequently share photos of him pampering his dog, he also used Yeontan as the face of his first solo album, Layover (2023). The dog also became a source of artistic inspiration throughout his entire album - a privilege that would make anyone jealous.

Moreover, when he performed solo for the first time on Mnet Mcountdown, V also specially "invited" Yeontan to join the stage. The little pet was also included in V's cover of the remake of Wнιтe Christmas with the late Bing Crosby, released on December 6, 2024, showing his "muse" status in the hearts of Kpop idol.

Not only did he win V's warm love, Yeontan also captured the hearts of fans around the world when he recently won Billboard's Favorite Pet Among Pop Stars Aroung the World poll.

On April 11, 2025, to celebrate National Pet Day in the United States, Billboard listed some of the popular pets owned by pop singers around the world. The poll allowed fans to choose their favorite pet, and as a result, V's Pomeranian Yeontan won with over 94 percent of the votes.

He surpαѕѕed the pets of other famous artists such as Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK's Rosé, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, and many others to top the poll.

This victory is like a memorial gift for Yeontan's pαѕѕing half a year ago. In December last year, V suddenly announced the pαѕѕing of Kim Yeontan, leaving fans in tears.

“The reason I’m writing this today is that recently Yeontan embarked on a long journey towards the stars. I thought a lot about how to share this story, but since Yeontan has received so much love until now, I felt it was time to share the news with the ARMYs who also cared for him”, V wrote on his Instagram Story.

Yeontan is a pet dog that V adopted around 2017. Accompanying V and BTS for the past 7 years, the dog not only has many memories with the members, but has also become an indispensable part of BTS fans' hearts.
