Lee Yubi is among the young actresses who have attracted significant attention in South кσяєα through roles in The Scholar Who Walks the Night, Yumi’s Cells, and Gu Family Book. In particular, being the daughter of Kyun Mi Ri — the star of the нιт drama Jewel in the Palace (Dae Jang Geum) — allowed her to enter the entertainment industry at an early stage.
With her bright on–screen presence and natural acting style, Lee Yubi has long been regarded as a promising face in кσяєαn television dramas and has often been given opportunities to appear in high–profile projects with large viewership. However, her name has also repeatedly been overshadowed by controversies involving her personal life, including alleged inappropriate behavior, controversial outfits at a celebrity wedding, accusations of illegal filming and phone hacking, and the lingering impact of her family’s fraud scandal.

Meanwhile, Lee Yubi also stirred controversy among BTS fans in 2021 when YouTuber Lee Jin Ho accused her of dating Jungkook based on several “uncertain coincidences,” such as alleged couple items and supposed connections to Kumuda (a cultural and arts αѕѕociation). However, the matter was quickly settled at that time, as both sides firmly denied having any sort of relationship.
Nevertheless, it appears that Lee Yubi — much like the scandal–ridden actress Song Da Eun — does not wish to remain uninvolved in narratives concerning BTS. Once again, she has placed herself at the center of attention with actions suspected of directly referencing the rumored relationship between Jungkook and aespa’s Winter, which has been dominating social media discussions in recent days.
According to reports, the actress posted four new photos on Xiaohongshu with the caption “Winter.” After being called out by netizens, the caption was quickly edited. Not stopping there, Lee Yubi also uploaded an emoji on her Instagram story which, coincidentally, matched one of Jungkook’s notable tattoos. The move immediately fueled discussions about the supposed “message” she intended to send. Additionally, on TikTok, she uploaded a video with caption: "Forget about your boyfriend", further reinforcing speculation surrounding the ongoing rumor.

What is crucial is that these unusual actions came one after another during a particularly sensitive period, effectively adding fuel to accusations of Jungkook’s alleged relationship and subjecting him to even harsher attacks. Some ARMYs believe that Lee Yubi’s move to “heat up” the topic has only empowered malicious commentators and intensified online criticism targeting the idol.
Some also expressed anger over the fact that Lee Yubi is clearly an outsider in the rumored relationship between Jungkook and Winter. Not to mention, since she herself was linked to Jungkook in the past, many argue that she should exercise far more caution at such a sensitive moment to prevent the situation from escalating.
Across various online communities, numerous comments strongly criticize the actress for deliberately “hinting” and causing Jungkook to face enormous pressure and malicious attacks:
- She always does this weird thing when he's online. F*cking attention seeker
- Whatever happens between those two is their private business. I seriously dislike people who take the chance to make shady and suggestive remarks like that. Pretty face but such a weird attitude
- Straight-up clout-chasing. I’m not surprised by her personality at all, but I hate how she makes it sound like Jungkook is the bad guy here
- Having parents involved in shady stuff really shows. And she’s an actress—she should know how to act properly in a situation like this
- Nothing is confirmed yet, and she really knows how to pick the timing. Trying to gain some fame since she’s been flopping for so long
- The problem is her implications just make Jungkook get dragged even more, when the dating rumor isn’t even confirmed
- Can she stop dragging Jungkook into this mess? Is she crazy?
- This feels like she’s trying to stay relevant by poking the fandom on purpose
- Whatever she’s hinting at, it’s just adding fuel to the hate Jungkook is getting
- She’s clearly chasing clout, but Jungkook doesn’t deserve to be hated just because some people try to use his name like this
