ARMYs Defends V Against Allegations Of Assaulting A Woman Following A Viral Video On International Women’s Day

For more than a decade of activity, BTS and Kim Taehyung have built a mαѕѕive global fan community that includes millions of women. They are not only supported by ordinary au∂ιєnces, but many well-known female celebrities have also publicly expressed their admiration for them. Women who have worked with BTS—from staff members to celebrities—have frequently shared praise for the superstars’ professional work ethic and courteous personalities.

It can be said that there has never been any doubt about BTS’s gentlemanly conduct toward women, let alone accusations that V would αѕѕault a woman.

On the other hand, V himself is widely known among female au∂ιєnces for his elegant and considerate image. At a CELINE event, while the two were taking photos together, V did not hesitate to adjust the slightly messy hair of Oscar-nominated actress Uma Thurman. Even Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, was reportedly charmed by him from their very first meeting at a fashion week and later invited him to the Vogue World 2025 event. V himself is also known to have many close female celebrity friends in the industry, including IU, Bae Suzy, and veteran actress Ha Ji-won.

For that reason, the appearance of accusations claiming that V “нιт a woman” is clearly absurd. However, public opinion has never been one-sided. On March 8—coinciding with International Women’s Day—a social media post suddenly went viral with the allegation.

The post carried the caption: “BTS V, who is not only a zi0nist, was caught нιтting and being aggressive with one of his female staffs!” along with a behind-the-scenes video. In the clip, V is seen surrounded by several female staff members after filming an episode of Kim Eana’s Starry Night where he served as a special host.

In the footage, a female staff member wearing a wнιтe shirt and jeans—believed to be an employee of BigHit Music—is recording him with a professional camera. Meanwhile, another female staff member dressed in black and wearing a hat is using her personal phone to take photos or film him at close range. At that moment, V appears to refuse by gently pushing the woman in black away and preventing her from continuing to film him with her personal phone.

The original post also accused him, writing: “And that's him on camera, on cctv footage taehyung harαѕѕed his staff.” These descriptions quickly sparked a wave of criticism. Some netizens even used harsh language, claiming the idol was rude or disrespectful toward women. Several comments circulated widely, such as: “Not the first time that manchild treated women like that", “He’s so rude", “Apparently being a Zionist was not enough", "He even bullied his own fans. Well no ѕнσ¢к there lmao", "Meanwhile Armys praise this incel who abuse and harαѕѕ women without their consent", "But his fans called other idols as mannerless",...

Amid the controversy, the ARMY community quickly spoke up to defend V, arguing that the video had been misinterpreted. One fan wrote: “That woman was forcibly trying to click his picture with her personal phone, and Tae didn't нιт her, stop spreading lies. If I were in his place I would have taught that woman some basic decency, but Taehyung still treated her politely. Spreading lies won't achieve anything.”

Another argued that the situation should be viewed more fairly: “If it was a man invading a woman's space with his personal phone shoved on her face without her consent, you would have emailed the company to fire the staff. But since it's a man, he should accept every disrespect coming from a woman. That's why the ‘if it was a woman’ narrative never made sense.”

In addition to refuting the accusation, fans also reshared numerous past moments to show that V’s respectful attitude toward women has remained consistent: hugging and comforting fans during meet-and-greet events, giving flowers to fans late at night after finishing events, or shaking hands with a girl after recognizing that she was ARMY in a crowd. Clearly, according to fans, V has never refused sincere supporters anything—but naturally, for those who harαѕѕ him, there is no place for receiving his kindness.

Fans also argued that a short video clip taken out of context cannot accurately reflect the full story behind the situation. On social media, many supporters left comments defending the idol:

- He didn't do anything & you know that. Even non fans are laughing at you. Cause how come he's нιтting or being aggressive but still pose for the staff & she happily takes a picture?! It doesn't make sense. They're friends and were seen laughing later on the same day.

- still trying to find the “нιтting and being aggressive” in this clip

- they could’ve just been messing around behind the scenes. Not every split-second clip means soмєтнing serious

- are we seeing the same thing? Where’s the нιтting? She tried to take photos of him using her personal phone and he only removed her hands, yall really want idols to stay still even if they are being harαѕѕed and their personal space is being invaded so yall won’t criticise them

- "Female staff" and it's just a stalker who follow him and arguing with him to take a pic while he was busy doing his work Yeah let make this out context and spread misinformation

- Why should he be polite if the other person behaved badly

- "Caught нιтting" when all he did was push away the stalker's phone who was shoving it onto his face against his will

- How do people even know they weren’t just joking around? It literally looks like a playful moment taken out of context
