ARMYs Defend V’s Female Close Friend After She Faces Harsh Criticism For Allegedly Dating Him

Among BTS members, V is perhaps the one most frequently linked to romantic rumors with female colleagues. Even the smallest gesture or coincidence can quickly spiral into speculation about dating.

However, V's just a social butterfly with an outgoing, friendly, and pure personality. He doesn’t hesitate to befriend fellow celebrities—both male and female. Over the years, all such rumors have proven baseless, and he has never once confirmed a relationship with any artist.

Still, the imagination of some fans often runs wild, and dating rumors surrounding V never seem to stop. Even the famous choreographer and dancer Lee Jung—a close friend of V—recently became the target of such unfounded gossip.

The controversy began after a video surfaced of the two being spotted together at the “2025 Tyler, the Creator” concert held at KINTEX in Ilsan. In the clip, V is seen glancing toward the dancer's area but when she turns back to look at him, he allegedly avoid her gaze, seemingly flustered.

That brief moment fueled dating speculation, with some fans accusing the pair of displaying “suspicious behavior” typical of people in a romantic relationship. Since then, Lee Jung’s social media accounts have been flooded with comments demanding clarification about her alleged romance with V.

Worse still, many comments harshly criticized the dancer and rejected the idea of any relationship between them like "Leave Jennie alone, Taehyung is already happy with Leejung", "She and V have been dating but they openly dance together as if they’re just friends — so fake", “This girl doesn’t deserve V", “Explain the dating rumor instead of just posting pictures like this", “Another person trying to use BTS to gain fame?"...

In response, ARMYs quickly stepped in to clarify that the two had not attended the concert together. In fact, V was there with fellow BTS members j-hope and RM. They were even photographed backstage with James from Cortis and the headliner himself, rapper Tyler, the Creator.

Some pointed out that V might actually have been looking at James, a junior artist from the same label. A full video of their entry is also shared to prove this claim.

Others defended Lee Jung, arguing that even if the two had exchanged glances, it did not prove any romantic involvement, urging people to stop overanalyzing. They emphasized that the pair are simply close friends who have previously filmed multiple dance videos together. Supportive fans even left encouraging messages for the dancer, countering the negativity with comments:

- The guy have eyes he can look or stare to anyone. Show us another dance challenge with V

- It seems only international fans are treating this as a dating rumor

- I’m really looking forward to a new, cool choreography and an amazing performance

- taehyung really didn’t call lee jung “dance instructornim” just for yall to ѕєχualize her and reduce her to being a fck buddy… istg leave her alone

- I think Lee Jung is very pretty and also talented, and she and Taehyung have incredible chemistry. BUT, for me, Tae is looking at the people taking photos behind her. I don't think he was looking at her (at that moment).

- Tae should be able to look at anyone he wants girl or boy. I can’t believe there such a debate about it

- I'm so sorry @leejung_lee! Please, don't pay attention! We love to see your moves with Tae! The challange of damce that we saw is anazing. We are waiting for more colabs!

- We fans of Kim taehyung love and respect you. Please ignore those accounts pretending one of us and starting saying bad things about you. You have are back ..hope you and taetae do some dance again in tiktok

- Their entry video is already out, n you can clearly see tae minding his own business and looking in james' direction while leejung is giggling w her boyfriend so pack it up none of this will change the fact that jenma is a seoul cycle

Meanwhile, in a July interview for Mnet’s “World of Street Woman Fighter”, Lee Jung spoke about her healthy friendship with V: “We’re connected through dance. He loves dance just as much as I do, and that creates a real connection between us. We have great synergy when we meet", adding, "Dancing is my profession, so of course I love it with everything I have. But despite having to sing and embody so many other elements as an artist, he genuinely loves dance just as much as I do. He’s incredibly humble, and when I see how hard he works—sometimes even harder than I do—it makes me reflect and think, ‘There’s no room for compromise in what I do."
