South кσяєα’s Sports DongA recently published an article titled “BTS Jimin: A real-life visual that defies words.” The piece mentioned that Jimin topped a survey on “stars whose charm cannot be fully captured by the camera,” receiving 71% of the votes. The publication noted that industry professionals describe Jimin as "artist whose live visuals outshine his on-screen presence." While his photos and videos are striking, his aura and visuals in person are said to be on an entirely different level.
Photographer Lee Myung-sook, who worked on his 2021 Vogue кσяєα photoshoot, shared her first-hand experience: "The structural beauty of his face in a front-facing close-up is so perfect that you get instantly drawn in. I had a hard time staying focused," adding, "You fall for him even more when you see him in person."
Professional bodyguards with years of K-pop experience also verified his visuals on Channel A’s digital channel, stating: "We see many celebrities without makeup, and with Jimin, the word 'beautiful' is the only way to describe him."

However, the tall poppy syndrome in this society is nothing new, especially given the harsh beauty standards some people impose on K-pop idols. Even someone widely recognized for his natural visuals like Jimin has not been able to avoid facing accusations of altering his appearance through cosmetic procedures. Recently, some posts on Twitter compared photos of him from his debut era to the present in an attempt to conclude that he had undergone nose and chin surgery.
Following that, a series of posts mocking his appearance and agreeing with the allegations also circulated. Some posts even deliberately edited Jimin’s photos or selected unflattering moments to imply that he looked worse after cosmetic procedures.

Upon discovering a wave of defamation based on unfounded claims, ARMYs were outraged and quickly spoke up to defend him. Photos and analyses αѕѕerting that his appearance is completely natural were widely shared to counter the negative posts. Fans pointed out that the differences highlighted by toxic users were simply the result of natural growth, aging, or hairstyle changes, rather than cosmetic procedures.

Comments and posts praising Jimin’s looks and emphasizing that his facial features have remarkably retained their signature characteristics over the years were also actively shared. Fans left numerous comments pushing back against the anti-Jimin wave, including:
- You're an idiot for not knowing that when people grow up their facial features change with time. Instead of focusing on Jimin who doesn't know you, why don't you help your miserable single mother who was abandoned. And,you're very chopped to be speaking about people's looks
- Excuse me, He is the only idol who didn't do any enhancement. It's all natural, it's all just Jimin sorry to disappoint you.
- D*mn it, I'm sick of this. I understand Jm anti have problems with brain activity and memory like Dory fish, but every week they drag him for plastic surgery, which did not happen! They can't accept that he didn't do anything to himself. He didn't even get his tooth straightened!
- You'd have to be living under a rock not to know that the natural jawline is shaped by growth and a balanced ∂ιєt... or you'd have to be a complete idiot not to know it.
- Even people with nearsightedness can see that nothing has changed in their faces. Even the shape of their nose bridge remains the same. I think you should have eye surgery so you can see properly
- the plastic surgery allegations will never work on him when he’s had the EXACT same face for 30 years.
- Bro still got his crooked teeth from when it's chipped and they think he had a surgery
- Why don’t everyone realise that most кσяєαn idols don’t do plastic surgery? There are only some who did, who even кσяєαns talk about cuz it’s actually not so common than people think.
- They forget that there's a thing called adolescence, exercising, being fit which automatically changes the features of a person. They had to bring up some sort of reason to just hate on BTS, just say you hate them for no reason & move on ughh
