ARMYs Defend j-hope From Criticism After Linking Crush's Apology Post For Alleged Discrimination Against Two Black Fans

Crush faces heavy accusations of discriminating against two black fans after a video of his recent performance was posted online. In the short clip, Crush reaches out to nearby fans before withdrawing his hand momentarily and then reaching out again.

The fan who posted the tweet claimed that the singer had intentionally pulled his hand away from them because of their skin color.

Following the accusations, Crush released an apology for the incident on his personal Instagram account, saying that it was a misunderstanding and he stopped reaching out to them for safety reasons.

The OP (original poster) of the video has since refuted his explanation online. Netizens think that Crush's apology is unwarranted and even in it it is intended to disparage black people who can be harmful but others do not.

The incident happened recently on October 9 when Crush attended and performed at the SOMEDAY PLEROMA 2022 festival taking place at Yonsei University. Controversy then began to spread on October 10 when OP took to their social media to share their unpleasant experience with Crush's actions.

Not surprisingly, Crush received backlash for his actions, as K-pop fans called him out and accused him of racism. This incident also sparked Crush's "black face" during his previous appearance on King of Masked Singer.

But one thing more remarkable is j-hope, who recently collaborated with Crush on his single, “Rush Hour,” liked the post with his account. This caused many netizens to start to cruelly criticize j-hope and ARMY to think that people are attacking an innocent person.

Some criticized j-hope, while others said it might have been a mistake or accident. Because j-hope works so hard to interact with people he works with, knows or other famous artists, it is possible that j-hope didn't read the entire letter, but only interacted when he saw it is an apology letter:

- Because he knows the true context perhaps. Respect ppl's choices. I too believe it was not racism at all

- Alr how about you keep it about Crush instead of making it about JHope

- probably he likes random posts based on his ig algorithm without following anyone except members. This is very common on ig like mine when I like random stuff like anime and algorithm will link me to any anime related stuff that I previously liked..
Hobi must be more careful for liking stuff that would be created misunderstanding.

- Why drag jhope??he is innocent he just likes anything he sees on Instagram

- Don’t drag JHope into all this childish bullshit.

- Dumbest thing ever to hate on??‍♀️

- Leave Jhope alone.

- I think they are being sensitive for now getting the handshake or high 5. How many of them actually manage to high 5 crush that day? Just because they have different skin? Why issit always colour skin and culture appropriation in kpop when theres nothing to do with it? Do crush have to high 5 every single person there?

- What does Hobi have to do with Crush's issue ? He likes everything on IG! Hobi who preaches equality & loves everyone. He doesn't deserve the hate.

- it’s possible he didn’t know what crush was referring to but regardless it looks odd and i completely understand why people would call him out for it
