Perhaps some veteran BTS fans will remember a talented group that debuted at the time, B.A.P. Although considered an excellent rookie at the same time as BTS, the members of the group had to go through a difficult time later until the group disbanded.
However, recently, during a concert of extreme member B.A.P Bang Yongguk, some toxic fans caused controversy when they downgraded BTS in front of the male singer. When ARMYs saw this clip, it went viral on SNS. Of course, BTS fans couldn't stand to see their idols get offended like that and spoke up to defend the group.
Meanwhile, many fans also noted that ARMYs should criticize the right people and avoid нυятing innocent people:
For many Kpop fans, B.A.P is an impressive name, debuted at the same time as BTS, EXO, NU'EST,...Debuted in 2012, to be one of the most anticipated boy groups in the 3rd generation, B.A.P used to own many нιт songs that are loved by fans around the world.
Many of their fans have long believed that B.A.P could have achieved the same worldwide success as the rest of the group if it weren't for the neglect of TS Entertainment and the incidents behind it. However, for all groups, all comparisons are lame because their efforts and achievements are respectable, have their own color and are not the same in any way.
Therefore, a viral clip at the concert of former B.A.P member Bang Yongguk caused a fierce controversy when showing the comparison between B.A.P and BTS. Specifically, Bang Yongguk is currently participating in his THE COLORS OF BANG YONG GUK THE US TOUR 2023 and this incident happened during a recent concert.
One fan in the stands seemed excited and shouted, “BAP is better than BTS!” in front of Bang Yongguk while he was talking to his fans. He appeared shσcked and confused, trying to calm the crowd as fans reacted in favor of this.
The clip of the moment has gone viral on social media with 3.8 million views on Twitter at the time of writing.
Naturally, the video clip caused a reaction from fandoms, especially ARMYs, when they saw BTS being ιиѕυℓтed and disrespectful. Many people were even shσcked by the incident because it happened in the month that BTS and ARMYs celebrated their 10th debut anniversary.
ARMYs were quick to point out that it was a cultural act by toxic fans and that their actions were disrespectful to their own artists:
- You're at a BAP member's concert and you choose to shout about BTS to your fave? Wow BTS really lives rent free in K-pop stans' minds
- If an army did this at someone else's concert, K-pop stans would've written threads upon threads about how toxic armys are and it would've gotten 50k likes... BAP and BTS have been friends/friendly for years too, so it's extra weird to yell that to his face?
- To do this during festa month while BTS are celebrating their 10th year anniversary of a very long and successful career too... Shameless!
- the way their fandom has consistently used any similarities (no matter how weak of a comparison) to bts in order to sell the idea that bap would definitely have become the biggest group in the world if their company not been нσяяιвℓє & screwed bap over, always makes me laugh
- Coz BTS the standard. Thats why. Like how A is always the best in grade marking. They are that standard.
- "antis" be thinking about bts 24/7
- No way they're still doing this in 2023. Especially after most of their fandom abandoned them after their 1-year hiatus in 2014 and then tried to blame their company for why they ̾l̾o̾s̾t ̾ popularity.
- Their company was garbage, but even with a garbage company, the fans can change the game. BAP ended up getting the creative freedom they wanted, but by that time, it was too late. Fans had moved on to other groups.
- blame the person who shouted it not the artist, they don’t have much male fans so they are probably just music enjoyers
- bap stans are all mentally ill and chronically obsessed with bts then wonder why bap never recovered yall was busy speaking on bts instead of supporting those flop mfs when they came back from hiatus.. also one of them is a literal SA offender so they should worry about that
- bts beef is so one sided ... and u will never be the 1997 нιт movie starring halle berry and natalie desselle
Meanwhile, many fans also pointed out that the crowd should target the guilty concertgoers and not drag Bang Yongguk into this situation as he has absolutely no control over it. He tried to silence the crowd but couldn't.
It is inappropriate to pit one group against another, especially at an artist's concert. Not only that, many fans have pointed out that B.A.P and BTS have been friends for many years and they respect each other, but some fans purposely start wars.
