On March 4, informational social media platform UberFacts announced the most "positive" and "negative" fandoms to ever exist on the network. This is a ranking made based on the evaluation of data collected from the fandom of famous artists.
That attracts the attention of many fans when looking forward to the fandom that is rated as the best and the worst. However, even when not on the chart list, ARMYs celebrate themselves because...feeling lucky not to be ranked as one of the most negative fandoms.
Although it is somєthing a bit strange, it is true in the case of ARMYs:
UberFacts recently posted a ranking of “The Most Positive Fanbases on Twitter” along with a ranking of “The Most Negative Fanbases on Twitter”. This ranking was created after summarizing data based on language and behavior used among fans within a fandom.
In the Positives chart, One Direction leads, followed by Daddy Yankee, Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes and Justin Beiber. On the Negatives chart, Rihanna's fan group, Navy, took the top spot, followed closely by fans of the "Call of Duty" first-person sh00ter game.
However, netizens do not completely agree with this chart. Many netizens shared their thoughts on the rankings. Most of them have caused mixed reactions, as the data collected from these fan bases can overlap with the way certain fandoms operate.
Meanwhile, many also believe that the rankings are inaccurate as non-fans may use negative language and other hara̾s̾sing behaviors are also included in the collected data. Not only that, in a fandom, there are always positives and negatives coexisting, nothing is absolute so this a̾s̾sessment is generally unreasonable.
But even without appearing in the results of both charts, the ARMY fandom celebrated in tweet quotes after the rankings were announced. This happens because ARMYs feel happy when their fandom name is ranked on the negative charts.
While BTS is known for its positive messages, some people often criticize or accuse the fandom of its "malicious behaviour". But in reality, hate speech and negative actions are only caused by a small fraction of fans who are unaware of their negative behavior, while most other ARMYs are trying their best to make idol fan culture better and more civilized.
So ARMYs were excited to learn that they weren't on the "Negative Fan Base" ranking. That shows that ARMYs use positive rather than negative language online.
Upon seeing the UberFacts rankings, ARMYs proved that they are one of the loveliest fandoms and finally got rid of the "malicious" accusations against them. ARMYs celebrated the occasion, saying how happy they were with the results and even congratulating each other for their "first win" ever:
- WE ARE FREE ARMYS
- We defend either with ulterior professional dark humour or BTS sarcasm, there's no in between
- We’re the jokesters of stan twt…the world needs us and recognizes the difference between negativity and sarcasm
- It's sooo beautiful I can almost heat angels sing " YA yaa ~yayayayaa~ yayayayayayaaa"
- WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER
- i just wanna thank jk's iron man socks and prolly myself for being free
- WAR IS OVERRRRRR
- We just debate on cartoons, animals, hyyh yoonkook & create historic social media moments on whim..no negativity in our home, just us, our Tannies & bora vibes

- Needed to wait for the stats to prove it I can't breathe
Interesting! Aside from ARMY, there are many K-Pop fandoms that are also active on social media, but not a single fandom is included in both charts.
