Meanwhile, recently, a new trending keyword appeared online and this keyword is related to V's smoking. ARMYs after seeing these keywords seriously expressed their attitude and asked others to stop prying into V's private life:

To start this story, recall the first time V was reported to be smoking behind the scenes of the 2022 Grammys. At the 64th Annual Grammy Awards held in Las Vegas, social media went viral. An image of V supposedly smoking behind the scenes was captured. Big Hit Music and V later did not make any statement for this rumor.

However, it caused controversy among netizens and many fans. In fact, smoking is not banned in Korea, but the country has strict regulations for smoking in homes or public areas. Moreover, for people of the public, netizens commented that these images will affect young people.

But after that, the matter gradually went into the past because it was impossible to confirm whether it was a real photo or edited. Along with that, there are no other pictures of him smoking being caught.

However, just a few hours ago, keywords related to V smoking or "Taehyung smoking" began to lead the search trends, reached the top trends and became the topic of discussion on SNS. It was further criticized that for celebrities with young audiences, V's actions will affect younger fans. While others criticized that V is a young idol who is not aware of the harmful effects of smoking and even cheers for smokers. In addition, some argue that V is a singer and that smoking can seriously damage his throat and voice.

Under anger and annoyance as others began to dig up old events, many ARMYs asked V's critics not to invade his privacy. ARMYs make statements that V is no longer a kid and that it would be fine if he knew the risks of it and limited himself.

They also added that it's his body and his life, so V has complete freedom to choose what to do with himself. In addition, he doesn't smoke in crowded places but smokes behind the wall, where no one is, but the photographer still deliberately pursues and steals those pictures. The person should even be sued for invading someone else's private life.

- Smoking is bad, we all know that and taehyung too but we gotta stop talking about whether he should do it or not cuz it's his body his wish so if knows it's bad for him then he will also know how to control doing it. Let him live a life without us interfering in it.

- He can do whatever he wants if he's willing to risk everything. 

- why is it that everyone can be so ok with him drinking if he wanted to but as soon as there’s a possibility he smokes all hell breaks lose like this is a grown man who has control over HIS life….people just need to mind their damn business and let him do as he pleases

In fact, there are many idols who have been found to have a habit of smoking such as T.O.P and G-Dragon (BIGBANG), Kikwang (HIGHLIGHT), Taemin (SHINee), Sehun (EXO)... Even , the 2 members of BIGBANG were also praised by netizens as "cool" because this image matches the concept that the group pursues. So if that photo is real, then V is no different from the above idols and the criticism is absurd.
